That scene makes me laugh. Only cause i wear glasses and i somehow say that line a lot. And every time i would, my family would repeat it back to me like the way she said it.
Her parents owned a restaurant/bar near my hometown in Lyons township, WI. We always got excited to go there thinking we may meet her. Met Frank once....such a personality
VEEP the most darkly hilarious show ever! Makes Seinfeld seen like a kid's show. Think "Don't Look Up" to the Nth power. Anna character on VEEP so real, compartmentalizing and rationalizing her existence like we all do. Both love and condemn her. Acted to perfection by Chlumsky! Gave her access to acting gigs she couldn't get before.
I still cannot believe how she's changed in the years following both "Uncle Buck" and "MY GIRL". The reason I say "Uncle Buck", is because she was in a scene, where Maisy Russell (Gaby Hoffman) talks about her Uncle not being able to "get the goddamn washing machine to work", and her teacher yelling out "BLASPHEMER!!" With that said, she was in that movie, apart from Macaulay Culkin, before reuniting with him, in "MY GIRL", two years after "Uncle Buck".
I don't know how many of y'all know about Gold Diggers where she starred with Christina Ricci, but my sister watched the heck out of that movie and therefore I did too, I have more nostalgia for that than My Girl (My Girl is too sad lol)
Kimmel: how she was able to convince everybody that she is heiress Chlumsky: **I don't know**. While doing her great acting face. Does "being a white may have helped her" ring the bell!!
I want to see My Girl 3. Both of those movies were terrific. It's too bad she chose academics and a family over a movie career. She could have been one of the great ones.
I always find it interesting how they comment on how clever the criminal is to have fooled so many people, but never entertain the possibility that the people they fooled may not be as clever as they think they are...
actually gullibility has nothing to do with intelligence... a lot of the people working for Elizabeth holmes for example were extremly educated, intelligent people... and she managed to fool them for quite a long time
@@zurzakne-etra7069 agreed, not about intelligence, more about trust of self and commonsense ‘it will never happen to me’ mentality has much to be answered for.
He can't see with out his glasses! Still hits me in the feels
Please don't, I'm trying to forget that scene!!!!
That scene makes me laugh. Only cause i wear glasses and i somehow say that line a lot. And every time i would, my family would repeat it back to me like the way she said it.
put his glasses back on
That's from the 1991 film, My Girl. I wanna see it for the rest of 2022.
My girl! Fantastic film
So funny that the character she played in "My Girl" wanted to be a writer and in this movie she is a journalist. Full circle.
E parece que ela não mudou nada desde "My Girl".
