      be careful, this is a commercial add from a sax manufacturer. All sorts of studio fixing could've be done. My opinion is that there is no chance to have his mouthpiece so shallow in his mouth and to get such a tone. Lower tones wouldn't get out. The key-works...if the improvisation is written on the score, this could be dubbed too. Secondly, there appears to be a little bit of reverb despite (probably) the condenser mic. It does not sound like a common bedroom recording.

      @@borisdjurkovic3225 exactly what I was thinking, the shape of his mouthpiece wouldn't allow for the warmth, unless he was a seasoned professional... I guess lol

      One little issue tho. Watch carefully and you'll see that he plays Bb incorrectly. He uses the "Bis" key exclusively by pressing it with his middle finger, then removing it to continue. I don't think he ever uses the RH lower side key. What's up with that?

    • @aidanswartz9186
      @aidanswartz9186 5 років тому +22

      it sounded way too professional to be played in a home studio and you are def right about the fact that his mouth is wayyy too far up the mouthpeice to produce that amazing tenor sax sound

    Since 1967 I'm playing trumpet professionaly in Tokyo, in London, in Munich and in Switzerland etc. And since last 30 years I have been teaching so many kids. That why I see in this boy a lot. While his father the intro plays he stands like Stan Getz waiting to play. it's really amzing! His Sound and Feeling are unbeleavable for his age. There are so many kids around the world who have great technics. But almost those kids are plying just notes. There is no another Kirill in the world. His father must be also a great musician. Why is this in my recommended now? As a saxophonist in college I’m extremely impressed by his tone and ad libs it takes a lot of time for most people to get a tenor to sound smooth like that 👏👏👏👏 this kid is probably a legend right now.

    great job kid! I have a friend whose whole family can play anything they put their hands on. Her son picked up a tenor sax for the first time at the age of ten, you would have thought he had been playing for years the way he sounded. my point is, just because it sounds so good doesn't mean it's a recording, it just means this kid is extremely talented. stop being so hypocritical.

      Cheryl Fissel um look at 2:47 he takes the sax out of his mouth and it keeps playing for a second that means it's fake and by the camera quality the sound would not be that good sorry

    I am stunned. This young man really has it. Some guys can imitate, even very well. This is of course not imitation, this is genuine talent and musical feeling. I once played the sax myself, when I was young, and I am about to get one again and start playing.
