Wow, they do look magical indeed when they are encased in the clear ice 😍And man, all your trees are turning into frankentrees! But in a good way hehe 😅

Yes, the weather is crazy!! I can't wait to see how they react to the weather, even though they can go to negative degrees. I also hoped none was blossoming. Take care

Thank you Karen! Today, the trees are just starting to push blossoms. I will capture it and will put into next video. The blooms are gorgeous!

The other thing about "types of ice" if you look up "chemical ice nucleation" and also "engineering winter" on geoengineering watch, you'll see that a lot of the rain that falls these days are so full of chemicals that the "feel like" temperature is much MUCH colder. Which is why you see thick 5 inch clumps if ice from rain water floating in 45 degree water. That is why I sprayed my trees with town water via the sprinkler to know it would freeze normally on the trees and insulate it at just barely freezing and not 50 degrees below freezing.

You are lucky that you got the freeze before the trees broke dormancy and started to blossom like what happened here in zone 8a upstate SC in early March. I tried to insulate my peach, asian pear, plum and pomegranate trees at 32 degrees by running an oscillating water sprinkler the night of the beginning of the big deep freeze. I had 5 inch long icicles hanging from some of the trees and it weighed the branches down. One tree was bent over from the weight of the ice. . It certainly covered the pink blossoms. The problem was the sprinkler didn't cover a wide enough area to reach all my trees. My pomegranate tree, which I covered with a tree guard bag (but didn't rig up lighting with it, nor soak it before covering it) is showing no signs of life. The others that got the several hours of water and formed icicles seem to be doing ok.
We still aren't out of the woods yet. The last two years we have had atypical deep freezes for more than a few hours in April which stressed the trees out so much, I only got a peach or two total from all of 5 trees instead of dozens from each tree in the years when we haven't had the freezes.
The powers that should not be seem bound and determined to modify the weather to the point they are convinced it will be almost impossible for us to grow our own food. They are usually out spraying a few days before the next really bad weather strikes (either a freeze or torrential downpour).

Did you ever demonstrate grafting like that on your trees or pepper plants? If not, would love to see it done as I want to do this to my citrus. BTW, still not a fan of Asian pears. Tastes like slightly flavored crunchy water. I'd rather eat cucumbers. LOL!

That’s so awesome! My first experience with an Asian pear was 2 years ago. I love their crunchy texture. Not too sweet but that’s ok. I’ll have to see if I can find a tree. I live 4 hours south of you I think. Did you start from seed on all or did you buy them? I’d love to know where you bought them!

@@briancrispano828 ~ Thanks! I’ll check to see if they have them. Our citrus tree died last year during the snow storm. It was a huge tangerine tree that my husband planted. Gave us thousands of sweet fruit. Our fig tree died as well so we are trying to start over. Thanks for responding.

Hi Khang, can you grow Avocado 🥑 trees by your location?

No, not outside. You can put it in a container and bring it in during freeze.
