World Chess Champion Ding Liren returns for the 86th edition of the Tata Steel Masters, a 14-player single round-robin taking place from 13-28 January in Wijk aan Zee, the Netherlands.
The time control is 100 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 50 minutes for the rest of the game, with a 30-second increment per move from move 1. A tie for first place will be decided by two blitz (3+2) games. If still tied, the players keep playing single "sudden death" games where White gets 2.5 minutes and Black 3 minutes until one side wins. The monetary prizes will be shared evenly. That Nxc6 in the Gukesh game has been the move of the tournament so far.
I saw the key move g4 in the Eline Roebers game as I studied the position, but I didn't quite get the exact sequence. A nice victory over the Mad Poet of the Chessboard (my nickname for HMN).

At 22:29, there were actually not one but two moves that win the queen. Be4 opens a discovered attack on the black queen with check, but you also have Rxe6 which attacks both the black king and the black queen and is also demoralizing because Hans would be forced to exchange his queen for a rook

It looks like White can win the D pawn at about 1:30 into video with Bishop x Knight and then Queen x D5. But, I guess your viewers are too good to fall for that trap.

There is a young Lady named Eline Whose games agadmator fail to explain I’m not hinting at Misogyny but this young Lady’s a prodigy So either rehash her games or it won’t be the same and we’ll have to remain in vain.

Go downvote Hans' personal video posted yesterday about his win over Divya. He uses the same tired "chess speaks for itself" line in the title while oblivious to this fact: Going in to analysis & detailing the win literally allowed only the loss to speak for itself. What a beta
