World Chess Champion Ding Liren returns for the 86th edition of the Tata Steel Masters, a 14-player single round-robin taking place from 13-28 January in Wijk aan Zee, the Netherlands.
The time control is 100 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 50 minutes for the rest of the game, with a 30-second increment per move from move 1. A tie for first place will be decided by two blitz (3+2) games. If still tied, the players keep playing single "sudden death" games where White gets 2.5 minutes and Black 3 minutes until one side wins. The monetary prizes will be shared evenly. Those 2 moves speak for themselves.
- Niemann, Hans Moke

Really impressed by the speed agadmator's been putting out videos for Tata. Always a treat to see a new upload.
I am missing some Rapid Action in Lichess. I like playing a couple games at night and farewell the session watching one of yours. I'd love to get back to that daily dosage.
I don't play chess myself, but I do enjoy watching Agadmator play rapid
That's a hiiiigh daily dosage. Be careful you dont OD! lol
That Nxc6 in the Gukesh game has been the move of the tournament so far.
I saw the key move g4 in the Eline Roebers game as I studied the position, but I didn't quite get the exact sequence. A nice victory over the Mad Poet of the Chessboard (my nickname for HMN).
20:41 Notice the B King shaking in fear at the W Bishop X-Ray!
Congrats to Gukesh and certainly Eline! After 4 losses, winning a game like this against someone 300 ELO points higher... Fabulous...
Actually winning against 1000 ELO points higher opponent, Really is impressive 😂
Eline proves there's no need for a separate women's division.
What a great game against a top male player.
@@Bobby-fj8mk Yeah, like Judit Polgar before her...
@@Bobby-fj8mk
Like bruh... I know she won that one game and we are in a politically correct era, but please.
It would be a slaughter.
They wouldn't win anything.
Plus, she won against Hans...
@antar7475 The reason for their lower skill level IS that separation causing a lack of opportunity to gain experience against high level opponents.
They should give it a try. What's the harm?
She is still very young and will continue to improve for many years
gukesh is younger than Eline
@@AyushMaurya-ei4sv By 3 days or so? What was that for comment lol
@@DeBert the fact that male players needs to achieve so much at the same age, in order to get recognized its so depressing , life is easy for privelaged white woman chess player just hit 2500 and you are on the top, and nobody cares about 2500 males players.
@@DeBert lol robers just scored 2/13 in tata steel challengers still getting so much hype it's ridiculous.
- How many times do you want to move your light squared bishop Mr Nepomniachtchi ?
-Yes.
Tata Steel tournament again lives up to the hype! Keep them coming and thank you.
Always nice to see the alleged cheater lose.

An in bad taste this ‘joke’ was created
Great games I happened to check my google app yesterday and saw where it had said Gukesh wins vs Nepo so I went back to your last game posted yesterday and put # suggestion happy to see it here shown in the first game will probably watch both again as just waking up still gaining focus Thanks for the games and Wow that second game with pieces all over the board hard to keep track of all the possible moves some of those moves you pointed out yes try finding those in a limited amount of time Incredible 😊
#suggestion Maurizzi vs Santos Latasa
The beads did not speak on this day.
Was waiting for Hello Everyone since Yesterday for this game 😂❤
5:53 isn't there a tactic on the D5 pawn for Gukesh? Because the black queen and light square bishop are on the same file
Hans lost his ear piece
Beth Harmon is pretty good
Great upload thx!
At 22:29, there were actually not one but two moves that win the queen. Be4 opens a discovered attack on the black queen with check, but you also have Rxe6 which attacks both the black king and the black queen and is also demoralizing because Hans would be forced to exchange his queen for a rook
I've said it many times before, Gukesh either plays extraordinary games or mediocre games, there's no inbetween. If he keeps finding moves like this, he'll be unstoppable.
That's why I think he'll have the worst result in the candidates, even worse than Abasov or Vidit, the consistency and strength is just not there yet
@@nostalgicdouchebag1912he is taking risks. Thats how you learn. Better than drawing games.
Mediocre literary means in between.
Well he won the thing @@nostalgicdouchebag1912
Wow... those games were just marvellous for the weekend..!
Also...wasn't there a fork Royal fork too @18.32 for black ...as shown in agads line...!
It would be white's move and they'd move the king or defend e2.
Great games!!! Thanks.
22:42 in the hypothetical line where the Bishop goes back, isn't the best move to just check the king with Bishop e4 and pick up the Queen regardless of what black plays?
Maybe her new nickname should be "Beadslayer" 😂😂
Eline grilled Hans Smoke Niemann. That was an absolutely great defence in the start of the middle game then even better counter attack and later enchanting tactical shot. Also kudos to Gukesh, he defeated Nepo in style.. i equally enjoyed both games to be honest. Thanks Agad
I sped up to the Gukesh vs Nepo pause the video move and found it in 45 seconds 🎉
Two very nice games by Gukesh and Roebers.
please guide. at 10:50 why black queen not taking e3 pawn?
He should have played it but didn't as he said in the video
Chess did speak for itself ;) but not for Hans
What he said 😅
good games. Young guns taking the field
Agad like woulda, shoulda, coulda...
It's pure bliss to watch Agadmator's commentary on chess while taking a dump.😂✨
Amen brother!
And in this position after move #2 a Brand new game
22:41 after bishop b1 white just has to play bishop e4 check and wins the queen
I thought so too, but after bishop takes bishop, queen takes queen, rd1+ , kh2, rh1+, kg3, rg1+ leads to perpetual check.. You can double check me....
Hans wasn't having good vibes today
Feel
Like gukesh kind of flies under the radar. Definitely dont sleep on him!
no one sleeps on him. usually indian youngsters are always on limelight in chess world....and pragg, gukesh, arjun and nihal are always in the forefront of that limelight.
Wonderful games!
24:32 what if he tried Queen to h4 attacking the pawn on f2 to make a draw??
Qc2! protects the pawn and next Rd8 would be gone
Just sharing my own thoughts, I actually watched the Hans vs Eline match before in Hikaru's channel. I kinda like my man's (Agad's) analysis more.
My man, I miss your rapids too. 😭
#suggestion Tiger pretosian vs Amateur where amateur didn't move his knight but Petrosian barely won
Hans must have forgot his butt computer
Eline must have checked those moves right before the game
Agadmator speaks for the chess.
Someone please explain… at 12:05, why not g5 instead of g6?
Loses the g-pawn to the q-check/Qxg5
@@UTube_userRM . Ah yes, thank you!
attack of the RCV's
Funfact :gukesh is younger than Eline.
Agadmator suggests Qb2 if blacks plays Bb1 after white's g4. But isn't Be4+ to pick up the Queen even better?
No becouse after the black bishop takes your bishop you dont have time to take the queen. Rd1+ will lead to mate
@@the-_-2145 I guess you mean Rc1+. I admit there is at least a perpetual check.
2nd: PLEASE agad it's been 4 months! 2023 USCC - Atousa almost beat Carissa Yip, the eventual winner!
Carissa was losing most of the game. Atousa just blundered in the end.

Hans can beat magnus in classical chess AND still lose to players under 2400 elo. Make that make sense
Perhaps he is a human being who is inconsistent.
❤❤❤
At 22:43 and 22:58 - why not check with the bishop and take the queen?
After black plays bxe4 you dont have time to capture the queen. You will be mated by the rook
7:30 cute
looks like there's nothing in the position, but ... look again
I love Roebers
#Suggestion: Alexander Donchenko vs Wei yi Round 1 of Tata steel 2024
Opening: KID
I found amazing watch three brilliant womens games in a row. What a statement.
It’s a royal fork? 18:31
Never change, Antonio. Your authenticity speaks for itself. 😬
17:24 For me look like light square bishops... But im not chess player.
Chess did not speak for Hans 😂
#suggestion rapid action on Lichess
How could you win when your opponent is your queen
Hans Niemann = next Bobby Fischer
- Wesley So = current Bobby Fischer
- Bobby Fischer's ghost = old Bobby Fischer
- Beth Harmon = Bobby Fischer in another universe
Each of these 4 'is a prodigy, had a rather dark childhood and is American'.
Speaking of Wesley So
Hikaru's (the rapid WFRCC) wife almost beat Wesley So's (the classical WFRCC) girlfriend!
2023 USCC - Indeed Carissa Yip won and thanked Wesley So as her secret second in the 2023 USCC closing ceremony speech.
But in Carissa vs Atousa, Carissa was losing most of the game. Atousa just blundered in the end.
move 54 for black is an 8-move equality puzzle
it's so sharp

In an alternate universe, Eline gives a post game interview, says “chess speaks for itself”, Hans withdraws from Tara steel, and accuses Eline of cheating.
IMs are GM level on a good day.
I dont like him as a person and as a chess player, happy that she won 👍🏻
It looks like White can win the D pawn at about 1:30 into video with Bishop x Knight and then Queen x D5. But, I guess your viewers are too good to fall for that trap.
gg's
😍😍
There is a young Lady named Eline Whose games agadmator fail to explain I’m not hinting at Misogyny but this young Lady’s a prodigy So either rehash her games or it won’t be the same and we’ll have to remain in vain.
Watch the complete video
Eline proves there's no need for a separate women's division.
What a great game against a top male player.
Hans Mole Niemann
Knight captures on c6, i got it, i am now 79 out of 91 finding the move. The aftermath i never find though.
Didn't get the second one :( 79 out of 92 now
If you look closely, you can see Lebron traveled.
Good eye! At 11:57 , He took an arrow to the knee.
Who is Lebron?
Age’ll do that.
He traveled to see me
Go downvote Hans' personal video posted yesterday about his win over Divya. He uses the same tired "chess speaks for itself" line in the title while oblivious to this fact: Going in to analysis & detailing the win literally allowed only the loss to speak for itself. What a beta
Downvotes have not been visible on youtube for a long while

No one recently & real said women were bad at chess, please dont put that falsehood in your title from now on like you did recently, still love ya though
Really? No one! None at all!!
Dude, there are still plenty of people who think women are bad at, not just chess, but a lot of things in general. Don't be so naive.
There are dozens of people in every discussion claiming women are inferior to men in chess and good on agad for shutting down this BS with any chance he gets
ahh yes. may be i hallucinate while seeing comment of chess videos.
