The Strawberry Life Cycle at Jones Family Farms

The strawberries grown at Jones Family Farms are done in the traditional manner as we have done since first planting them in 1963, and then tending to them for a full year before their first harvest in the 2nd year of growing, and renovating our berries for the next year, rotating crops among the fields, and protecting them from the winter's cold - did we mention the weeding? There is a LOT of work throughout the year that goes into growing strawberries so that they can be harvested during their short peak of ripeness in June!
