Strangely the PDF I used for the video did not have the last couple of paragraphs that are included in the Treasure Chest textbook. The interesting aspect that features in the last bit is that Mead spots his house, the only one with the lights brightly lit. He points that out but there is no one to listen to him, again pointing to him being a loner in that city. The word Empty is repeated thrice in the last paragraph for effect and to emphasise the feeling of loneliness and what a city it had become devoid of humans.
