The overlap between the fandoms is equal to the “Anime Girl Soul Meme” where your exterior is a withering man but the anima is a bright vibrant anime girl
@@bogmanhimself4656 Not unintentionally, very intentionally. This is Jung's concept of the anima/animus. the animus is the divine masculine in the female psyche and the anima is the divine feminine in the male psyche. For example, in Evangelion the trauma Asuka suffered as a young girl due to her mother's maternal component being extracted from her psyche. So Asuka develops these tough guy emotionless attributes to put on as a persona to make up for her insecurities about being tossed aside by her mother. She believes she doesn't need help and becomes a hard headed masculine type. That is her animus. I don't know too many trans people and I don't exactly have too much experience on the topic but from hearing what you're saying I suppose it's along the lines of what I'm saying. But the difference is Asuka puts on this persona to make up for her insecurities, so would that imply that trans people transition due to unconscious insecurities?
@@eliance9648 ehhhh, i think that view is limited because it relies too much on jungian and freudian tropes. while their work was important for indentifying the split between a percieved self and external self in an academic setting, i think the idea that everyone has this inherently gendered battle in their head is a bit... weird. sort of like the oedipus complex stuff by freud, it's interesting but definitely not how most people operate. as far as how i view it, it's all a weird haze of biological, psychological, and social factors that we're all still kind of figuring out as a species. we have ways of understanding it, like through a jungian lens, but those lenses have yet to capture how absolutely wild and varied humans can be. they can help us understand, but only so much.

That algorithym thing kinda made me remember when listening to Ana Frango Elétrico brought a lot of "fantanocore" bands to the recomendations, lol. Now it has gotten more "adequate", with it recomending other Brazilian artists. I guess either Fantano fans lost interest on her some time after his review or more Brazilian people started listening to her. Also, a college coleague of mine is friends with Ana Frango Elétrico. There is no point in me saying that, I just wanted to brag.
There has to be a way to weaponise that. Like, mess with the algorithm enough that you suddenly have Taylor Swift fans being recommended Primitive Man or Pet Brick or something.
Also its more of that people like to gravitate towards familiar sounds and gain a strong liking for few genres and their desire to explore reduces over time, also they listen to music which is culturally relevant basically what others are listening to, and when they discover something which is not as popular they feel insecure and don't listen to it, its only popularly once it gains a decent enough fanbase and once that exists it keeps growing and gains the ability to attract more insecure people
