Skrillex's music back in 2011-2013 shaped my music taste (for better or for worse) and I am so glad to finally find a reaction to SO-SO's Skrillex video that has the same level of enthusiasm as I felt when I saw it.
Welcome to the SO-SO rabbit hole. His most popular video by far is his Super Mario Remix which is a double punch of mixing skill and gamer nostalgia. His Google-esque RGBY color scheme is his trademark to represent the 4 parts of his trade: Beatboxer, Producer, Looper and DJ. But every piece that he produces is completely derived from his voice. He's also a part of a beatboxing unit group called SARUKANI. If we're going off of sheer beatboxing talent, I think one of the OG's in Japan, Daichi, is better but SO-SO blows Daichi out of the water in his ability to loop and mix pieces together.
While i do love So-So and his music. Note that this is really edited beatbox and not really representative of how it will sound if he did that live or without a daw.
