The only late night host that comes to mind who isn't guilty of guest pandering is Letterman (I'm excluding Jon Stewart since TDS is a different format). I never really watched him much but just because of his attitude it's hard for me to imagine him doing that.

I find it disturbing that so many people still hate homosexuals in America, in 2016. This video has 100 dislikes and only 700 likes, and all because a person is speaking about their sexuality. Its time we put an end to this nonsensical hate for homosexuals and realize that they are human beings, not sinners, not criminals, not something to be looked down upon. Its 2016, and it's time to accept the fundamental principal that this country was founded on, that ALL men (and women) are created equal.

My cousin was gay the day he was born! 2nd born child to two parents that wanted NOTHING more than kids. He had the life...raised in the near orthodox Jewish religion. ..but he was gay..I think the whole family knew it before he did. He didn't do anything wrong and neither did his parents. Before they even began the religion thing he wanted to play with his sisters toys.

In order to come out to his family, wouldn't it have been the best and most natural way to kiss his boyfriend on television in Sochi when he won the silver medal? If I would have been in his position in Sochi, I would have given my boyfriend the most passionate kiss in front of the cameras, also because I would have weighed the political 'In your face, Putin' human rights action much higher than my tiny personal worries. Why even come out to family and friends through TELLING them? Why not simply kiss the person you love? I don't understand that. It's like "Oh I am gay, I can't kiss my boyfriend publicly because first I have to TELL my family that I kiss boys and only THEN I can kiss my boyfriend publicly". It almost sounds like "First of all I need the OK of my family before kissing my boyfriend publicly". I really don't understand that. THAT is the real bullshit about this story. I will never understand the kind of coming out when a gay boy/man informs his parents about his homosexuality beginning with "I hope you will still love me...", because this way maybe you don't even geht honest reactions from your parents. If you would not even come out, but simply live like you were born (gay), and when your parents see that, you will get the most honest reaction. For example simply bring your boyfriend to a family event, like a straight guy would bring his girlfriend to a family event. Simply kiss him, like a straight boy would kiss his girlfriend. And THEN you get the most honest reaction from your parents. I also think it is dangerous to do otherwise, because maybe your parents will hide their homophobia and will hurt you very much at a later point of time if you do the "I hope you will still love me ..." thing.
