Manny working over a heavy bag named Clotty - the heavy bag landed a few low shots and 2 upper-cuts but other than that it was just Manny working out on the heavy bag
Yup and they will also see that he was the first eight weight class world champion in boxing history and remember how gracious he was in his controversial defeat against Bradley and admire how great of a person he was. So yup, nothing lost there.
True it does have a look of a fix but if you watch clottey's fights. That's really how he fights. He shells up and waits for an opportunity for a knock out but then again. Speed and power took over the fight. He has the power to knock manny out but the speed and footwork is way behind.
bravery and sportsmanship Mr. Joshua Clottey showed in this fight, hugging the Idol Manny Pacquiao before the 12 round fight, salute to the both of you Sir..good job for giving your best to this fight Mr. Clottey and congratulations to the one and only #PACMAN😍
agree with ur last point. i think he knows pac has a very real chance of beating him . and he's just waiting for him to slow down or avoid the fight all the way through. that fights not happening.
Excellent defensive skills shown by Clottey and explosive domineering punching techniques from Pacman as always. Great showmanship between the the 2 fighters all the way through and a credit to the sport.
Pacquiao use two hands counter both side by side of face of clottey signs that Clottey is hard to knockout. Clottey is hard to knockout or knockdown clottey but lack of strategy and tactics.
I can understand your argument, and I can understand your state of mind and emotion with your rebuttal. Cool man. Nobody is hating nobody. Everyone seems to be cool in presenting his own argument, why inject hate in what is otherwise an objective discussion. I am taking my side on this, civilly. I think Pacquiao will win if and when the fight ever happens. The offensive style backed up by hand speed will overwhelm Mayweather. Pacquiao will prove he is p4p best fighter in the world.
clottey always fights like this, the dude was dehydrated and felt pacquiao power so he didnt wanna open up. thats how clottey fights hes more defense than offense
@bbmak2121 he's not fighting cotto Judah or margarito,he's fighting the fighter of the decade who throws 7 punch combos from all angles at lightning speed!thats the difference!
This fight was probably the best display of sportsmanship I have seen in boxing. Pacquiao is the best pound for pound and one of the most likeable nice people in the sport. It's refreshing. Complete opposite of Mayweather.
thats u cause you dont know how much training and dedication as well as the effect it has on your mind and soul,at the end of the day a title wont secure you financially but money under the table can make you very rich!
That's what I was thinking at first! But there's a lot more going on here than meets the eye. I researched the purses, the fees, the competition, the manner in which the fight was signed - everything. Something is definitely fishy. It doesn't look like a sparring session or a fix necessarily but it definitely looks like an exhibition. Fixhibition, if you will lol.
I love this fight, even though Clottey did really push to make the fight more exciting, I still enjoyed the match. Manny fought against a big welterweight in Clottey and a defensive one at that, he out fought him in my opinion. At the time I was just a Pacquiao fan, not really a boxing fan like I am now, this was my third time ordering a boxing PPV, Manny's fighting style was just so awesome. Ive ordered every Pacquiao fight since Cotto

Boxer of the year is a popularity contest. Manny is not important enough to hate on I call it like I see it. Floyd is undefeated, p4p #1, a 5 division champ, the counterpuncher in boxing, the best technical fighter in history (even Lailah Ali said he was a better technical fighter than her father), and he has been undefeated for 16 years. Manny has 4 losses 2 by knockout, 1 draw and has beeen knocked down many times. If they want to give fighter of the decade to him, whatever.
Whatever all of those you're saying but the important is manny pacquiao is the only boxer in the world who had the 8 division world champion that mayweather cannot do that untill the end of the world hehehehehe!!!!!!!!!!
pacquiao with his fan base vs mayweather with his fanbase. if the fight actually happened, it'd be like two falcon punches hit eachother. the world would explode regardless of who wins
You know what, though? I agree w/ those experts on Pac/Marquez III. I do think that fight was in no way a majority decision, not for Pacquiao. As for Clottey, you're friggin kidding me, as far as the re-hydration clause, he looked bigger in that fight than he did against Margarito.
I actually enjoyed this scrap! A lot of people were saying it was boring. But apart from Marquez, WHO has fought better against Pacquaio?? Well beaten here on work rate Clottey, but certainly not disgraced. The commentary team of Jim Watt & Ian Darke, got it spot on IMO...
You still have yet to answer any of my questions. Why do you still have yet to condemn JrMixtapes for his comments when he was far more rude than I was and he started the exchange. I look forward to your response.
if the fight was fixed, i think it would've been smart to go down and surrender at some of the early rounds than get punished throughout the whole fight, don't you agree? however, i think the fight is actually entertaining, i like both defensive and combination fighters, that was a good showcase :P (sorry about my bad english)
Actually he fought Barrera twice. Only thing that pops into my head after thinking of those 8 fights and Manny only lost one of them is the word "BEAST". What pops into your mind?
Pacquiao at his peak. Very crisp and accurate punching, even against a fighter with a tight defense. Very enjoyable to watch him work against a different type of opponent.
One thing I notice in this fight and possibly against other counter punchers pac faces is he uses his footwork to find angles and land his shots but doesn't use his footwork to avoid punches. There are some many times he could take a step back, catch his opponent reaching and then counter with his own shots.
1 other thing, Do you remember the May v Hatton? Well Pac and Hatton style is somewhat similar...its just that Manny is JUST EXTREMELY FASTER AND MORE POWERFUL!! So it could be a pretty good fight if Pac executes a good game plan. The early rounds May won aganist Hatton but he was UNComfortable!! Hatton landed too!! Pac cannot try to win on cards...KO is only way. Floyd's too solid a Boxer. But Most important of all....is Pac cannot come forward or it could end with a check hook like Hatton!
notice the last round when the bell rang to start the round whats the first thing they do ? give each other a hug if one of them sucker punched the other there would have been a winner by knockout 'cause its "LEGAL" but see both are civilized gentlemen what you call chivalry or sportsmanship if this was a Floyd fight one of them would have been sucker punched to a knockout that tells you what class of a person he is
The scoring of a professional prize fight is based on four basic criteria: clean punching, effective aggressiveness, ring generalship, and defense. The only advantage Mayweather has is defense. He always has clean punching, but Mayweather is more of a flatfooted fighter and Pacquiao moves a lot. Therefore, the clean punching won't be so clean. I have Pacquiao winning a Split Decision (effective aggressiveness and ring generalship) to Mayweather's (defense/counter punching).
I agree, mayweather has a clean shots but every rounds how many punches only he landed to his opponent he made ,the score for boxing competations are agressiveness, power punch landed to the opponent,k.o.or TKO.,but Mayweather make only little punch in every rounds, then how he won for his fought except if opponent was k.o.,
A 4th loss isn't that much of a big deal compared to mastering EIGHT weight classes. And you can make it sound as worse as you can, greats like Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Robinson, Oscar de la Hoya, Roberto Duran, Julio Cesar Chavez, etc. all had more than four defeats yet they are forever remembered to be greats... So why not a 4-defeat Pacquiao who has won ten world titles in eight weight classes?
Bro, I watched his training and he was getting this ridiculous sound from the bag and he wasn’t even stepping with it. Straight pop from guard, sounded like a cannon going off. I figured, maybe it’s just the bag he’s using. He’s getting the same damn sound from this man’s human body and I don’t even know how to comprehend what’s happening.
A man like Clottey. A proud man with a country behind him agreeing to throw a fight. Not likely. I think he shelled up for the fight because he felt Manny's barrages and was afraid of a counter-punch.
Pacquaio has fought the best of the best of his time. He hasn't ducked opponents because he was trying to protect his winning streak. What can you say about Mayweather?? Is he on peds also? I mean how can you get to 43-0 without being on roids?? Thats the kind of mentality in the boxing game.
Clottey almost immediately realized the more punches he throws, the riskier it gets due to much faster counter punches by Pac. He made up his mind not to try to win this fight but just try not to get knocked-down.
The fact that he fought bigger guys more often, and faced better opposition than Floyd. Floyd cherry-picks way too much to be considered one of the greatest.
if cotto can hit him, manny can. Also, Mayweather isnt that good at defending against fast fighters like mosely and judah. I think pac will win a split decision due to the higher volume of punches he will throw.
the fight was not fixed. joshua claimed he had diarrhea from dehydration (blamed it on the weight) but if youve seen clotteys other fights youll see that this is just how he fights. the difference is that all his other opponents didnt throw nearly as many punches nor as fast OR hard as manny does. clottey only throws when he knows its gonna land clean usually or when you stop punching, manny was throwing too many shots, clottey felt his power and was basically just didnt wanna get kod.
I must admit before the De La Hoya fight I though >IF< Manny could take his speed and power with him to welterweight (which i didn't think he would do) he would beat De La Hoya. Oscar has never really relied on his strength, he relied on a very good jab and good pure boxing skills. However he never did really well against southpaws because he lost his best asset, his jab. He never really had massive knockout power in his right hand which is the best punch against a southpaw
floyd about to be 36yrs old and manny about to be 35yrs old if steroid boy would have taking the test we would already have seen pretty boy take this man apart.
And you call my boxing knowledge inaccurate? That's laughable. Floyd did not start as a flyweight, his first fight against Apodaca was at 130 lbs, the superfeatherweight limit. Oscar would've had to come down to 147 to fight Floyd in rematch, had Floyd not ducked the rematch, which Oscar wanted. Not to mention that Pac was coming up 135 when he fought Oscar, so this excuse isn't valid either. Hatton got overpowered, pure and simple, it had nothing to do w/ watching Floyd beat him. Not to men-
Dont forget about ortiz (even though it was a short fight). Ortiz hit him with alot of clean left straights. Pacquiao has the best left straight in boxing .Pacquiao would trouble your boy floyd, but although Floyd would adjust (as always), Pacquiao will still keep firing back (as always) with straight left hands. Floyd can't shoulder roll or even dougie 6-8 punch combo. He's bound to get hit. Also pac's speed n power is the other key.Pac also has a good right hook to use when Floyd is coming in
i was responding to a person who thinks that it's going to be an easy fight. So i was simply saying that it's going to be a tougher fight than that commenter thinks it's going to be. Predicting who is going to win is pointless. They just need to fight.
The fact is they're both media-hyped fighters, but Pacquiao is the only one who took bigger risks. Not only did he fight tougher opposition, but he's consistently fought twice a year since becoming a welterweight, while Mayweather has only managed 1 fight a year since he beat DeLa Hoya.
same here. i look at it like it is, i think its never going to happen. its too late anyway both fighters already moving past their prime; both of them showing signs of decline. i woulda wanted the fight to happen years ago when it was really hot. but from how i look at it now, THE FIGHT IS NOT HAPPENING. and both sides can point a finger at each other but i really think its floyds fault.
I understand what you mean by Clottey's fighting style. But my whole argument was that he refused to engage or open up and take a chance. He's bigger than Manny, and it looked like he had more power. He does have that peekaboo style, but when he fought Judah, Margarito etc, at least he opened up and took some chances. I know Manny is the fasted he's ever fought, but if you want to beat the best you've got to let your hands go at some point in the fight. Looked like a punching bag.
Classic pacman introduction was all here. Eye of the tiger. That smile as he walks in. That lengthy introduction. "former.. flyweight world champion, former superfeatherweight world champion..former featherweight world champion, super lightweight world champion and former light welterweightworld champion and reigning defending wbo welterweight champion of the world!" Then the domination with that classic bouncing around style.

Just how does Pacman keep up the work rate. Phenomenal!!
Pacquiao is my paforit
Pacman is the best
i was responding to a person who thinks that it's going to be an easy fight. So i was simply saying that it's going to be a tougher fight than that commenter thinks it's going to be. Predicting who is going to win is pointless. They just need to fight.
Damn , Manny won everything. 8 titles. Congrats to Manny.
❤😂
Senyum yg selalu nampak di muka pacman
I understand what you mean by Clottey's fighting style. But my whole argument was that he refused to engage or open up and take a chance. He's bigger than Manny, and it looked like he had more power. He does have that peekaboo style, but when he fought Judah, Margarito etc, at least he opened up and took some chances. I know Manny is the fasted he's ever fought, but if you want to beat the best you've got to let your hands go at some point in the fight. Looked like a punching bag.
he knows that pacman is a hard hitter that's why he need to cover his handsome face😊
