Thanks for another video update.. Wish you did more through out the year.. You make the videos and we'll watch them.. Take care my friends and God Bless...
I am 54 I came home from the hospital in a Karmon Ghia! The next car the family had was a 63 Volkswagen Beetle. Then 64 Squareback. I will love beetles my whole life! Especially with a v8 Chevy LS!!! Thanks!!!!!
I remember visiting my Sister in Joburg back in 1979 for the first time and was amazed to see so many beautiful Cortinas and Anglias with absolutely no rust!
Back at it with an LS3. I would like to see more of the 3 wheeler. And I vote for no music, sounds like a horrible infomercial. Especially when the car is running/ driving. Cheers!
Thanks guys, love this VW beetle build so much. Glad you are bringing more good videos for us. I must admit, tinkering noises is always better than a music background, but maybe that's just me? Cheers from Switzerland 🙂 👍💪✌
Great Video, Great work. Re the background soundtrack I don’t mind the background music provided it is gentle and unobtrusive. What really grinds my gears is the heavy metal or thumping sound track that nearly all performance oriented videos from the USA feel that they have to have.
Very cool. I really enjoy the explanation and commentary, as well as watching the iconic car get a new lease. As for music tracks or just the sounds of work; I love the sound of tools and craftsmen doing their thing. That said, I'm American so I'm pretty much used to excessive noise and chaos.
Always music with a time lapse please! Actual audio with real-time is fine. Loving the bugs. I grew up in Thanet U.K. in the 50s and 60s. Ramsgate was the main port for beetles to arrive and be stored for distribution by rail from the storage facility at the town of Sandwich (now Copart). Literally thousands and thousands of them all lined up in perfect order, every colour under the sun!
Im not a fan of music in car videos myself but would love to be able to afford one of these with a twin turbo SBF with around 6-700hp for drag and drive events
Music / video ( I have to admit - there is relatively limited value to "opinion" ) There can be music suited for every occasion. But it must probably be composed for this occasion, to be true. I prefer the real sounds of "the moment". (Sometimes this have to be muted/subdued for practical conveying of a main message) Music should mostly not distract, from the main topic at hand. It will mention two You tubers (both in mechanical fields), which I favor for their style of presentation. My Mechanics - Switzerland & This Old Tony USA 😁 Thanks, this video was interesting and informative. 👋🏻
Wow that's next level engineering, beautiful work from your team very classy! Very desirable custom as they say here in Australia, " I Just Want One. "
It's just amazing to me that you can find old VW's in this excellent condition. You'd be surprised at how much these would be worth in their 'Stock' condition here in the U.S.A.
There are thousands of these available in America, you need to search in Mexico, then you have to deal with import rules and regulations. But there are plenty of original beetles still out there.
Back in about 1976 there was a body style called the 1600S (or SP, I forget) that had a curved windshield and a dashboard, are there any of those still available in South Africa?
VW Bug was my first car and loved it. That V8 sounds awesome and 200KW is going to make it fly but how does a modern V8 only make 200KW..? Seems low when even 4's make that and more.
Man this is depressing. I've got a body that is a basket case. It needs new front and rear body panels. The bonnet and boot need rust repair . New heater tubes, new door pillars and a total strip and rebuild. The 69 bodies are few and far between to find in Australia. I haven't emptied the crate yet. I've looked but damn life commitments are strangling me.
@@anomamos9095 A bit late now .I've spent the money on new parts. I only need the time to do the work. It's a 69. I'm thinking they are later models in mexico. $10,000 is a lot to import a body.
@@V8StealthBeetle Ha Ha thats lifes way of making you a better person. Mum is 96 and looking to make 100. She just gave up her drivers license so now I'm the chauffer. I have lesser days to play in my new garage to sort it. It will happen but in a drawn out time line. Thanks for the concern. I've got my health, ( the satisfaction that the builder has had his license removed for life ) and that progress is happening. Slow but it's hapenning. 😉
@@tinnedanger a 69 will have different suspension and possibly a different floor pan to later models Most people just cut out the back window and graft it onto a later model.
NO MUSIC………… Is The Way to go 👍😉

Better without music. Great to hear people at work.
Fantastic with NO music during vehicle stripping! Great job.
No music perhaps after completion. What an iconic car.
MUCH better with no music.
I am 54 I came home from the hospital in a Karmon Ghia! The next car the family had was a 63 Volkswagen Beetle. Then 64 Squareback. I will love beetles my whole life! Especially with a v8 Chevy LS!!! Thanks!!!!!
I wouldn't worry about music or no music because the subject matter is incredibly fascinating.
I remember visiting my Sister in Joburg back in 1979 for the first time and was amazed to see so many beautiful Cortinas and Anglias with absolutely no rust!
We still have a lot of old British cars, Ford Escort Mk2's etc. Just abit more rust these days😀
I love the simple and robust engineering in this car!
Much better with out the music!
Back at it with an LS3. I would like to see more of the 3 wheeler. And I vote for no music, sounds like a horrible infomercial. Especially when the car is running/ driving. Cheers!
Wow this quality of work in my own country. I wouldn't have guessed. This looks like perfection.
No problem with music, but if there is an engine running then we hate music.
Thanks guys, love this VW beetle build so much.

👍💪✌
THIS is my kind of car! I love beetle cars and its a v8!
Every sense the first video and first Bug build, I've been awe struck. Just awesome.
Great Video, Great work. Re the background soundtrack I don’t mind the background music provided it is gentle and unobtrusive. What really grinds my gears is the heavy metal or thumping sound track that nearly all performance oriented videos from the USA feel that they have to have.
Well done boys!! 👍
The sound of the wrenches is music to my ears the other music is not required
The 'world' will never agree on anything, but I liked the music, especially as your choice suits my taste perfectly. ✅
Lovin it from Toronto Canada 🇨🇦 🇨🇦 🇨🇦 🇨🇦 🇨🇦
Up here in Ontario Canada, all the VWs are rusted out, the good ones are shipped in from the lower states.

That air filter and elbow looks really close to that exhaust. It’s a beautiful car.
250hp V8 in a bug?
Yes, please.
The US rep in North Carolina is a good call! Congrats on your success!!
The background music has never been a problem for me.
All those different mechanical noises during strip down. That IS the music! Well done!
Absolutely gorgeous vehicle
home run of design history! I owned one when I was stationed in Germany
No music is WAY better !!!!!
Great work. Love the results
Fantastic build! Somebody is a great fabricator!!!
This car looks like fun. A “drive with caution” car. My kind of car.
Team "Au Naturel" here.

Awesome story, pity you didn't take lots of photos
I also have a Karman Ghia as well. Thank you again
No music for the win
Best Work..😍👈💪
i am sri lanka..🇱🇰
Great work mates, wish you were in the states.
Love this! Bugs are slugs but I bet this will rip! I hope to see one at Caffeine and Octane Atlanta soon!
Greetings.
I love the job you've done to this bug. I have a bug too. And would love to make it like this one.
That is a sick beast of a bug. Definitely like to see a GM LS motor in that buggy
Im not a fan of music in car videos myself but would love to be able to afford one of these with a twin turbo SBF with around 6-700hp for drag and drive events
I would love to have one and I'm in North Carolina USA.

one of these is my dream car.
NO MUSIC! Always! Music is SO annoying! Thank you for the natural sounds 👍🏻
Either way. The music is just fine.
The screeching noise when fitting the body is exactly what will be heard at every speedbump ? 😂

" I Just Want One. "
Wow, we say that here in California, too!
Wow, amazing! I wish I could afford it.....
Kids, stay in school. The world is changing, and education is becoming increasingly valuable!
Au naturel definitely 😊
Thought my v8 corvair was cool. Crazy easy. I bet I could have had it running in 1 day. 100% serious.
These are very cool at a good price point
Yes please, no music in the vids, and if you still do, please lower the volume
We use feet and inches here in Great Britain as well Beetle Dude.
Officially not anymore. Only miles on the roads...
Greetings from sth Australia 🇦🇺 👍 🐨🦘🐪🪃..love ya work guys
What about the Karman Ghia version ?
No music
No music is best. As soon as the music starts I usually watch something else.
Amazing build 👊

Nice builds. As a matter of intrest what is the price in rands on one of those v8 beetles?
Back in about 1976 there was a body style called the 1600S (or SP, I forget) that had a curved windshield and a dashboard, are there any of those still available in South Africa?
That's the Super Beetle (Super Käfer). I wonder if they convert those too.
I love It
Wow, to clean VW Bugs ,,, strip down ,,,
Truck driver drove straight through a STOP sign
Welcome to South Africa China...😀
Keep the great coverage on all gm automotive. 😂

Prefer it without music, OR Strauss Waltzes. Fabulous job you guys. Best in the West, East etc. n Thanks 😅😅😅😅😅😅
id like to drive one to really see. lol
Natural is better I think, great video.
Always good to see more content. 😊😊
Did someone from the US send you their left-hand drive donar?
New subscribed from Somalia
I know it would be a shoehorn to fit but imo those bugs are yelling out for a 2jz.
This is really cool!
What do you guys do with the removed hardware of these cars before the upgrade?
sell it if it's worth it
You sell online? Where can I check?
We need this car in Australia , I’ll put a deposit down immediately
Those guy's look like they make a quality product. I bet you'll be happy with it.👍✌️
I wonder how much it would be for me to ship my 1970 beetle from the US to have them do the v8 swap, body and interior. Amazing job
Probably the same as one of their cars but less the charge for the body but added charge of shipping. So yes, about the same.
No Music please, just the sound of people at work.
Could you include more finished product shots to include the interior, roll cage, seats etc.?
Dude, go to the first Bug build and see it all?
I would have fitted counter sunk screws instead of cap screws that is sticking out like a sore thumb.
Nicely-made video! 6:56, wouldn't dropping the body onto the chassis using an overhead crane be an easier option?
Might work. But then you need to protect the body. Plus in South Africa we have plenty of man power😀😀😀
Salut my friend super car super video subscribe subscribe ... .
LSX 454…. Would a much better power plant, and it sounds awesome…
IMHO…..:would be nice if the exhaust were at the sides instead of both being at the centre…..excellent job though 😊
Like the original. That's an option
Built for the South American Market
Love it!

They still made them in Mexico until recently you could probably buy a new one and ship it as parts for what you pay for a rust bucket in OZ.
So sorry Rob. I know it’s been a tough road for you. Hang in there

it is very strong engine
Awesome, But website is not working.
How much for one unit car like thsese specs? Tq
Why don't you try getting your cars from Mexico to build them up until the early eighties the bug
Just a question, from start to finish, if someone wanted something like this, what would be the $$$ cost 👍🇦🇺
$50,000 AU plus shipping another 10. Then it's what you want to spend on body work paint etc.
Full vehicle starts at US$92,000
