what a nice video, also can you do the review on the pro staff 97 v 13 since you said you like it
any customizations you would add? (i.e lead tape, leather grip, etc). Great Video!
I added a leather grip because I prefer the feel. But honestly it’s already pretty hefty and stable so I wouldn’t add anything else.
I use this stick along with the Prestige Pro and tend to switch between the 2 during a match. It depends on how I feel or how I’m playing, but it works. They are similar specs with the Gravity being lighter and bigger head size gives bit more power. While the Prestige gives me more control and maneuverability.
@@10sjunkies74 what string and tension do you use? I absolutely love it with tecnifibre ice code at 50 lbs. please try it and review that string if you haven’t yet. Feels ammmaaazing.
bigdaddy812 haha that’s funny I was actually using tecnifibre ice code for this play test. But I strung it at 35lbs. Which sounds crazy but was my personal tension at the time
@@10sjunkies74 35 lbs!? Damn, unheard of and would think it’d be like playing with spaghetti. But it didn’t seem bad at all in your video. Interesting.
bigdaddy812 haha yea it was an experiment. I saw the video tennisnerd made on Adrian mannerino who plays at 24lbs! The ball pocketing is great but you definitely have to adjust your swing style and speed.
When is next video coming out bro
What tension did you use
great video! I am considering switching from vcorepro 97(310) to gravity pro. Since you mentioned vcp 97 in the video could you compare those two?
They are two fairly different rackets. Ironically enough I actually use the VCP 310 with heavy modifications for my playing rackets. The VCP offers more power and spin since it has a more open pattern. If you have a flatter game then the Gravity pro is your frame, but if you want to play with spin the VCP is a better option.
@@10sjunkies74 thanks for the quick reply! I consider myself as a aggresive baseliner hitting big with low net margin .I know it is hard to tell without watching me actually play but which one would you recommed for such player?
oo k probably the gravity pro if you hit with low net clearance and are comfortable with that
If you're considering Gravity Pro from the 97 310, why not try VCore Pro 97D? 18x20 and 320g.
Would you recommend this racket for a Wilson 6.1 18x20 user who wants to upgrade their racket for the modern game?
I've also heard very good things about the Prince Phantom line, do you have any experience playing with that line?
Thank you.
i've been using the gravity pro for more than a year and i can tell you that is a racket you can relie a lot, good sweetspot, good topspin, very good control and precision, nice stability and maneuverability and won't let you down on power.
Yes! I think this is a great upgrade from a 6.1 18x20 especially since you will already be used to a tighter string pattern. I don't have much experience with the phantom line but I have heard good things, Prince is just not a massively used brand as of recent.
@@SocraN7 Totally agree with you Marcos, this racket has pretty much everything you could want in an 18x20 frame!
How is speed 18x20 string openness compare
I have not played enough with the speed pro to fully know. But if I had to guess it would be very similar to the gravity pro since they are the same head size.
I switched from Speed Pro to Gravity Pro. Some takeaways:
- Speed hits a lot flatter than Gravity
- Speed has slightly more open string pattern than Gravity Pro even though both are 18x20
- Definitely feel a bit more inherent power in Speed
- Gravity however has much BETTER feel and confidence which trumps the slightly overarching power of Speed.
- Speed at net feels a tad less maneuverable than Gravity, maybe partially beam thickness difference
- After long lengths of hitting Gravity can feel sluggish while Speed really doesn't have any fatigue problems
- I feel like I can full-swing with Gravity with confidence rather than Speed. Something that convinced me to switch
Thinking about switching from ezone tour, thoughts ?
are you thinking of switching from the Ezone Tour to the gravity pro? If so you will get much less spin but will gain a much flexier controlled feel.
@@chadjohnson8639 ah i see, if youre willing to make the sacrifice of losing power and spin , but gaining control and feel then yes I think its a good switch
Lik it!superb ,see ya!!
great video!
Thanks!
