Na5! Like in the King's Gambit Accepted: Schallopp Defense (Nh5 - the knight is safe, the bishop is stuck. Knight protects pawn - pawn protects knight) 1. e4 e5 2. f4 exf4 3. Nf3 Nf6 4. e5 Nh5 Your last videos are showing the beauty of chess - all those plans, and opponent's plans. I just love it. Good job man, well done! (* Stupid as it may sound, I would go right into the lion's jaw - Qh4...)
I just started watching this series from the beginning and I absolutely love it. I find these videos very instructive and you do a great job explaining the ideas. Thank you Ginger!!
These longer play games are the most valuable content. Fascinating how you forced the game into a dynamic unbalanced position when you could have easily got suffocated. After 4. c5 e5 5. e3, I would have definitely ended up in a dangerously passive position, but smashing the position apart with 6. dxe5 was really instructive.
Really instructive game ! Rerouting the Knight on a4 was really effective , and the Queen on d4 sat great. And yes g5 and then who knows ? These videos are great.
I watch all GGM vids. This is the perfect long play format for heliping my play. I hope to learn by osmosis and following your thought patterns. I am thinking like you are thinking up to a point. I fail in not seeing threats. 1450 on Lichess.
Hey Simon! Old a time fan here. You deserve more subs! You should be more clickbaity with your titles. I know clickbait titles suck, but it seems to be the way of UA-cam's algorithm nowadays to get more views. Check out how Levy does these stupid clickbaity titles and gets so many views haha. Anyways, thank you for getting me into chess!
Hi Simon, thanks for the fantastic video. While watching, I understood blacks' Rg8 because of the following.. if after he played Nh5 then your Qe5 looked quite strong, attacking his knight and he'd have to return to Nf6. g6 would drop the rook on h8, which is probably why he moved Rg8? Strong play from your opponent.
Just recently stumbled upon your videos. Your intro is that of an absolute madman LOL I love it Your content is fantastic. My cousin got up to about 2000 in rating, in part because of your videos. Do you offer private lessons?
Thank you for the video, sir. Well, youtube is all about entertainment, right ? So if you want more followers, you have to make entertaining videos ( which you know very well how to do ). It is as simple as that. Go GingerGM !! I love your catch phrases, the duck in the intro, and everything else. Oh, and I love chess too :=)
These longer play games are massively helpful when talking about middle game planning. Hope to see more of them. Thanks Simon.
Ne4 was terrible from me I crossed plans, g5 needed to be played I clearly had it ready. Playing GMs and being under 5 mins plays with your mind!
You had him worried! Well played!
You played a great game considering
The longer games and your explanations are golden. Thank you
Oh this is great - I love hearing you talk about chess, either here or commenting on chess24
appreciate the longer time videos. Feel like no one else does them quiet like you.
You mean quite, not quiet 🤣
@@lukastux3024 you're quite right
I definitely enjoyed this vid, loved to see how at some point you were feeling insecure on your position and working to make it better, thanks
Thank you Simon.....bcz of you thousands of players will get the benefit from these videos
Great content... Thanks simon 🤝🏼

Best videos and explanations. I can't even imagine myself calculating like this :)

Keep going strong brother. With your originality (and exciting play) you will win the hearts of 100.000 people minimum.
Thanks for the fantastic instruction, once again! Great bloke
I could watch these everyday. Please keep uploading more as well as the speed run!!
"If you are surprised in the opening, keep things simple", says he, then plays 4. c5 instead of the simple (and best) 4. cxd5.

Best GM in the business...wit and humour 😊

Go Simon! We request more such videos
An equal game and then utter domination when it mattered.
Well played Simon!
love these videos. Best chess videos on the internet. Please keep them coming.
This is great! Your thought process is extremely interesting! Especially because you were unfamiliar with the opening.
Simon please do more of these
Longer beard, longer games: Nice!

Great vid as always. What’s up with the sound level though? Lately I have to crank up the volume to even hear Simon talk.
Hair looks great in the thumbnail bossman, where’s your barber based?
That was really interesting to hear your thoughts, I thought this was a good idea to increase the TC so we can hear your thoughts a bit more. Thanks!

Watching and halfway through I just have to admire your c pawn with its support.
@27:50 I wonder if "f**k f**k f**k" is a common GM thought process. lol
I'm sure it's a common GM thought process. One that you usually don't hear.
I enjoyed the longer game
Simons videos are very entertaining and enjoyable to watch
Fatass finegold videos put me to sleep
I like the content a lot, The intro is cool but I guess it increases the bounce rate because it's so disproportionately loud.
Yes!! Longer time controls!
This game was pure sex
Thank you for the video, sir.
