I agree!! Plus Hailee Steinfeld looks so much like the book description of Katniss. She was younger than 16 when auditioning (which is good since Katniss looked younger than her age) plus she has olive skin and dark hair. Only minor differences are dark brown hair instead of black plus brown eyes instead of grey but she prob would’ve darkened it a little and wore contact lenses for the eyes
Jenita Angel she wasn’t that young, she was 14 when auditioning. And it’s good that they choose a younger actress because although Katniss is 16 she’s described as looking no older than 14
Jenita Angel exactly Jennifer was too old and too physique - looking to play Katniss. She was supposed to be skinnier and younger like Hailee. Hailee Steinfeld was younger and would be better for the role. You realize Hailee Steinfeld had an Oscar nomination at the time right?
