I went to see Furiosa on saturday with my brother after work. He told me, wanna see Furiosa? And i was like, wait what? There's a prequel coming out? And it's already out? So yeah... it might be bombing because people like me don't know it even exists. Although i do not live in the US so maybe their advertising game might just not be good internationally. Anyways, I loved it, same as much as i loved Fury Road. I will go back and see it again, which funnily enough, the last time i went back to the theater to see a movie again was Fury Road.
I watched Fury Road at home in the morning and then went to see Furiosa in the afternoon. Such a fun day for me.
Follow up to my super chat on the Goblin stream: I had such a great time at Galaxy Con over the weekend! All the creators were so darn nice. Had a great chat with Christopher Priest and Howard Chaykin gave me an Almond Joy!
This kind of show doesn’t really happen in my state so that was so nice. Picked up Hard Traveling Heroes hardcover for half off too which was nice.
Funny, when I got into X-Men it was the Claremont-Lee 90s run but I really got into Peter David and Larry Strohman's X-Factor. There was something about that Havok led team that just pulled me in
You probably already got corrected somewhere online, but Scrotus wasn't in Fury Road. He was in the Mad Max video game though, which occurs between the two films. Rictus Erectus, however, was in both.
Really missed you last week. I can't wait to listen to this show!
Honestly, I wouldn’t put it past WB to make an animated movie of JL vs Godzilla vs Kong
A shame to hear about manga copyright strikes. I love My Hero Academia anime and would love to hear your channel’s opinions on it. Thought it’s like Harry Potter were it starts out fun then gets darker as it goes and the villains are usually people wronged by society so they are better than just evil
Sal you deserve my soul! You’ve contributed so much! You should read Criminal by Brubaker. If you haven’t already. Also the other property is Dorohedoro. I forgot it can be hard to pronounce. I feel like from the 1st page, the art, story and themes. It can become every magic lovers fave.
Yes! They mentioned Dorohedoro!
You’re welcome 😈 I know Tiff will love it from literally the first page
Thank you for the humble bundle recommendation, I'm going to grab it
Don’t listen to them Sal HunterXHunter is like 4th best manga of its type. Dragon Ball first if anything, it’s the forefather of the genre!
I have been watching Sal for years and for my dollar, hes one of the most knowledgeable comic podcasters out there. I respect him as a person and as a content creator. However, I don't think I know anyone, online or in real life, who is as consistently negative. He is SUCH a bummer in the way that he views things and whenever he talks about reviews or ratings or Spider Man. Everyone has a right to be and feel however they want, but I don't really understand his bummer vibe for some reason. Man gets to do what he loves for a living, with his beautiful wife AND his friends. Life can't be that frustrating or hard. Like dude, cheer the fuck up.
Sorry that's your read. It's wrong, but you do you.
@@comicpopreturns no need for an apology. I wouldn't say I'm wrong, but I've only been tuned in since the Weekly Pull days, so I guess I haven't seen a big enough sample size of your content. I wasn't trying to insult you or your work in any way. I have a lot of respect for you and your coworkers. Wishing you and yours the best sir.
Sal’s not negative, he’s honest. If he likes something, he’ll praise it even if no one else thinks it’s good. The reverse is also true, and I get the feeling you’re a Spider-Man fan so that rubs you the wrong way
@@NostalgiaVomitBootlegs Guess I missed the "respectful" part of your original post...
