@FyreBalletDancer For pivots, we do way harder turns. Most ballet turns are fouette, or in retire. We have SO many, incredibly hard pivots. Leaps, more dynamic. Flexibility, superior. All of the acrobatic elements, no ballet dancer does those! Tosses are an entirely different dimension! Balances, held longer. And, we get SCORED for all of these!
Since the mid 90's they're lighter and brighter... Before that RG balls were pretty heavy and thicker. Anyways, you can still fin some of the heavier balls in stores, they're actually cheaper than the brighter ones that look like pearls... TBH, I prefer the heavier ones. Anyways, they're trying to make the sport more and more feminine every year, to the point of having gymnasts wearing feathers, butterflies applications, tutus, and apparatuses covered in rhynestones...
Kaja, unfortunately these are the ignorant attitudes we have to deal with in our sport. It just sucks because RG is difficult and we train so hard and yet we're constantly having to defend our sport. The funniest are the people who say 'I can do everything they do and more so its easy'...there is just no point in even arguing with those people. Oh and Juliarsg, great montage, well done :)
It was lying around with a bunch of other gymnastics equipment in an equestrian vaulting training center. *is really nervous about starting RG at eighteen this summer*
another thing is.. this is the second vid ive seen claiming that rythmics isnt easy. whos the person going around claiming rythmics is easy? and another thing is if you take anything far enough it wont be easy
@FyreBalletDancer I hate to disagree, but I strongly do. Literally, we train ballet at least 12 hours a week IN ADDITION TO our rhythmic training, which takes up 7 hours a day- about. And those fouetté turns in this video, I admit, suck. But not every gymnast does them so badly. I train under an ex-Kirov teacher! She wouldn't even let me leave the studio if I did fouettés like that. And, rhythmic gymnasts have to handle apparatus, which is nothing like dancers handling props.
@FyreBalletDancer JUST controll the five apparatus o.O this needs alot of work! you dont know anything about rg... i do ballet and rg .. they are both hard. in rg i need thecontroll 5 "things" (this is not that easy !) and much flexibility and in ballet i need the pointe shoes and technique.
i love RG ! it's so beautiful.

I was playing with one of those RG balls a few weeks ago, they're actually pretty heavy...

I enjoy doing rhythmic gymnastics

Who is the girl at 01:43 and what year is that hoop routine from, please? I've been trying to find it for ages. Thank you.
I found it. For anyone who wants to know, it's Filipa Siderova's 2006 hoop routine.
is that the same music that irina tchachina used for her rope rutine in 2007??
i think that the most difficult for these girls is that they have to look happy

@FyreBalletDancer We, as gymnasts, do ballet. And do you, honestly, know any ballerina who can put her head on her butt? Or do a 270 oversplit? No.
Who is the girl at :29, and what competition is it?
another thing is.. this is the second vid ive seen claiming that rythmics isnt easy. whos the person going around claiming rythmics is easy? and another thing is if you take anything far enough it wont be easy
@gymnast0425 No way, Rg are more flexible than contortionist, that condition is more harder to work than any other condition.
myname137 , Filipa Sideova ( BUL ) :D
What i would give to be able to do that :-)
Whats this song?
@Rosemereta Thankyou so much Xx
I saw Anna Bessonova many times
