The villains who fall to their deaths get what they deserved, but seeing the good characters in this video falling to their deaths makes me just feel sad. I just couldn't help but shed tears, or even fight the urge to cry. This music doesn't help either.
Javert's death was probably the weirdest directed fall death ever. Here's how I would have done it: as he's singing the last note, he falls backwards off the bridge and the camera follows him down from the side. As the last musical flourish plays, the camera pans up to the night sky. The fact that they show him hitting the water as painfully as possible is ridiculous. Did they really think that the audience wouldn't believe that he was actually dead unless it was a explicit as possible?

Scenes like this this are always so slow and dramatic. And they’re also bait for that character to come back later and reveal that their alive
