I'm trying to learn ASL during the Quarintine and this video was extremely helpful. the repetition after every letter really helped lock it in. I look forward to using your other videos to help me learn.
I just watched sicario and now I want to learn asl.. why this inspiration from a movie, you got me??? But now I wish I had a deaf friend to help me stay focused.. any ideas on how to stay interested without having any deaf friends that will help me to maintain this desire? I have this feeling if its not something I do daily I may lose interest.. Any thoughts?
I feel you and carpal tunnel doesn't help. I can only imagine as they age arthritis. I do think their system from watching other videos is awesome - but sure a work out!
Love it. I am not deaf, but for some reason I've been feeling a burning urge to learn ASL. Nobody I know is deaf but I really feel the need to learn it and I will. You guys are awesome.
Thank You!!! I learned the ASL Alphabet when I was in elementary school summer camp. I needed a refresher on a few letters and your video was very helpful. I like how you repeat each letter helps us to remember. I have subscribed.
Are used to check out theSide language books in my elementary school library but they don’t have as many of those in middle school and high school so I’m determined to learn it over winter break so if I ever meet somebody I need to know that I am at least a little prepared prepared
I’m so happy that she went back from the beginning each time she showed us a new letter because I was able to do the entire ABC’s by myself after watching the video once😁😁😁
I’m trying to learn sign language, and this channel has been really helpful because I’ve been bored from quarantine and i thought 💭 why not learn sign language
Well, I started taking a course from our library. It was too much too soon. I really like they way you repeated each letter after learning a new one. The repetition is so very helpful. Thank you again!
Thank you so much! I never knew any sign language, and after this little video, I knew the whole alphabet. I love how you reviewed the letters we had learned so far, before continuing. This is perfect for beginners, and I subscribed. This was a fantastic video to watch, and I am finally going to be able to talk to my deaf friend (not by writing on paper) because of this video. It was very easy to watch, as there were no distractions. Many sign language videos I have watched have a busy background, or have animated the video, which makes it harder to understand. You explained the hand positions very well and in a way that I will remember. The sound and video quality were spectacular. I can’t believe that in 15 minutes I have memorized the whole alphabet in sign language. I will keep learning on this channel, and I give this video a 10/10! Thank you so much, I loved it ❤️
It's been to many years since I again practiced the alphabet, I look forward to learning more as I go to be able to police my capabilities. The presenters and format are easy to follow. I find myself at 71 enjoying learning ASL again. Thank you so much for providing this for the hearing and those without. Blessings. Maria Wellborne
she doesn't go to fast which is great for other and the ones who goes faster it no problem really helpful she has a very nice helpful kind and calm voice and honestly she shows us how to do the letters but doesn't stay a long time she stays the perfect amount of time explaining how to do the letter
When I first clicked on the video, i was planning on watching it for fun, but in the end, I somehow managed to learn all the letters. Thank you so much for this video!
Love the format for which you teach. I learned ASL as part of my elementary school classes. I am now over 50 yrs old and picked it back up so easily with your help! THANK YOU!!
Omg!!! This is just such a perfect video it is so hard trying to find a ALS video that really goes over every little thing my pinky hurts but wow was that helpful love it🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thank you so much, You have opened a whole new world to me. I am not young by a long shot but I am one of those people who loves to learn new things and signing is something I have always wanted to learn. Like most people I always believed signing was way too hard for learn. Then I accidentally came across your Your Tube page and as I am watching you teach basic phases and the alphabet, I realized that your way of teaching made learning sign language easier then I ever imagined. Now I am learning signing and coming back each day for more. I who knows God will use to help someone who needs it. I have no doubt that if I can learn how to sign at my age. 60+ then anyone can learn no matter your age. We should all know how to sign you never know when you will be of help to and what a blessing to someone who can not speak to have others know what they are trying to say.
I’ve been trying to lean ASL fo a while now, and I could never learn the alphabet I printed it out, tried everything. But this video was extremely helpful! Instead of just speeding through them you took the time to explain them and went through them all after you taught us. Really helpful, now I can fingerspell without looking at my paper!
These are the best UA-cam instruction videos for sure, I've been through quite a bit of other ones and these are the best for one reason...there isn't a whole lot of filler as far as explanation goes, they teach you the sign, and the repeat...very good teacher Victoria is.
i'm not deaf. no one i know is deaf. but ever since i watched "a quiet place" my brain was burning with rage to learn sign language because it felt cool. this video helped me learned the letters so fast. there's something about learning sign language that makes me feel peaceful. i know three languages and i've been trying to learn more but i just can't. learning no language ever has made me this happy. when i signed my named i felt this rush of joy that i still can't shake. respect to the deaf people. watching the happiness in the facce of deaf people when someone signs to them is so nice.
My hand hurt a little bit but it worth. The beginning of learning anything new in life is always hard. so never will I stop learning. A big thank to you all
Thank you so much for starting a channel like this. I’m starting my journey to learn asl because I work at a hospital and there are many patients who can’t hear and some know sign. And it’ll come in handy in everyday life!
This video was incredible!! I learned the whole alphabet in one video! And this is coming from a girl who has memory problems and ADD so thank you so much!!
this video was so helpful! after i got them all down in order, i went onto a random letter generator and it gave me a bunch of letters and i was able to sign them all!
this video is crazy helpful. i recently decided to learn sign language with my mom to help me when i have panic attacks (since i go mute when they happen and no one knows what i need in the moment). this video was easy to follow (even for someone with adhd) and i love how you kept going back through all of the previous letters! thank you so much :)
I had a deep need to study and learn ASL a few months back. I started looking into it, then life (as always) took over and I slacked off the studying. Funny though, how we can sometimes sense what will be important to our future. I am ashamed to admit that even after 35+ years, I am still unable to kick the smoking habit. The abuse I have heaped on my throat and lungs in the past 3 decades has left me with worsening vocal abilities. I suspect that in time I will no longer be able to speak at all (A few days ago I woke to only being able to croak out what I am trying to say.) No matter the outcome of this medical issue, whether it be permanent or only temporary, learning ASL is now a necessity as well as desire. It is a skill that will always serve me well, and help to be able to speak with my hands - if not my voice. This is a wonderful video, and I am grateful for the hard work and time that went into the creation of this channel. Thank You !!!!
I learned the abcs in two days !!!!! Love it !! I work in the medical field and we see everything I like the pace and progress I'm making because of these videos
This was my first experience doing any signing at all and it was great. Thanks to all the patient repetition, I was able to keep up and eventually do the full alphabet right along with the teacher. I will be taking ASL 101 this summer, and with quarantine and everything I figured I should at least get a head start by learning to sign with the alphabet first. With a lot more practice, I now know I can. Thank you!!!
Lol who else had to take a break because their hand hurt? Thought my tendons were gonna rip, and I only got to 5:45 XD love how she teaches it and how she turns it to show the whole hand, definitely saving this to my ASL playlist
I am a a cashier, and sometimes I encounter some deaf-mute customers that are so nice to me, and I am struggling to just even say thank you. so this channel does really helps me a lot. more power. I am enjoying my abc
This was so helpful I can feel my left ear going deaf,so I needed a lesson this was the 2nd video I chose and the 1st one was from the same channel, your videos are so helpful and amazing for me at the minute!
I realize that By practicing five letters a day throughout the entire day like, Monday, A-E all day then Tuesday, F-J, on Wednesday K-O, Thursday P-T, and finally Friday, U-Z, you can learn the entire alphabet in 5 days!!! Even as you go about my normal routine and practice when you aren’t busy. This is great!
I'm so impatient! It seems maddeningly slow, but I remembered each letter and could finger spell without thinking too much about it when I was done! Good job!
OMG this is so helpful I learned the ASL alphabet in just one day, maybe because of the way that she teach it, she says a new letter and then start again from the beginning till that letter, I love this. Now I have hope that I can learn ASL. Thank u so much.
Lately I've been having some feelings of self inadequacy. Like I don't know enough, like I'm not good enough. So I set my sights in ASL, and this video really took a load off, ya know? It calms me down knowing a aquired even a little more skill.
Thank you so much I see so many other videos on this because I'm trying to learn, but everyone does something different in them. Plus you take the time to explain at a better pace I appreciate it!
I've been a guard for over 2 years and recently we've been getting deaf customers, and to try and make them feel more welcome I'm attempting to learn ASL. This is really helpful and the repetition helps lock in the letters. I'm hoping by the end of this month to have this and a few phrases locked in

I really like how you review each letter upon learning then next. the repetition really helps imbed them into my memory! Well done!
Absolutely agree. Repetition, clarity and demonstrations with explanations.
Imagine the thought process: *you know, if we make them do it 26 times they should remember it!*

I’m so happy that she went back from the beginning each time she showed us a new letter because I was able to do the entire ABC’s by myself after watching the video once😁😁😁
Around halfway I was doing previous letters automatically and learning a whole alphabet in under 20 minutes never looked more simple. Great vid!
I love how you teach thru repetition, it's extremely helpful.
I'm definitely leaning a lot and fast .
I am really grateful that she was repeating all the letters again.
im so proud of everyone for trying to learn sign for friends and family or just incase you come across someone who speaks sign.
