1 YEAR OLD Snowboarding Child - Cash Rowley

- Cash Rowley's first time on the slopes just 2 days before her 1st birthday. We took her up to Bogus Basin Mtn Resort on December 9th 2017 so she could strap in for her first time EVER!
We know she doesn't have a helmet on and we take her safety very seriously hence how close we are to her. We talked to her doctor about it before we went out and she cleared us as is. We actually have a helmet for her but it's way too big and it's the smallest size.

I can’t believe I’m seeing this for the first time. She did better than I did my first time snowboarding and I was in my early 20’s 🤦♀️

Children have no fear unless they are taught to have fear. They all looked like they were having fun and very much relaxed.
That’s the whole idea. Fear is a learned behavior

What amazes me is this little girl was and still is so _chill._ Putting her on a board at 1 y/o really was the best thing you could've done, because you would know right away whether she was interested or whether she'd freak out. Most kids at 1 won't freak because they don't know what they don't know, and that's what set Cash up for the joy she gets out of it, her natural talent, and innate courage, to learn and press her limits without fear. I pray she never loses that joy and wonderment; she'll go places no matter what she does and she'll do it with aplomb.
2:36 I’m a 68 year old grandma and have accidentally discovered your vlogs. Cashy’s progress is a tribute to your and your wife’s parenting skills. Don’t mind the negative comments from anyone. You are doing an awesome job! It’s very obvious in Cashy’s enthusiasm and determination. Children will not give a 100% effort if they’re not interested. I have two grandchildren and I’m still learning so much from them. Keep up the amazing job that you do with Cashy and thank you for sharing with us! 🙏🏼

She’s truly a natural and it’s evident her parents have been prepping her for this amazing introduction! She already knows what to do ! Her squatting is excellent and the way she falls forward with her squat position is stellar !

Cash seemed to have an inborn talent for the snow board. She is just darling
It's hard not to love Cash. You guys are teaching her the best life skills, not just great boarding safety: how stop without hurting anyone and still boarding fast, don't let your fears stop you from trying new things. And of course silly songs for humor and self confidence. Even my 85 year old mom loves Cash. I get to live vicariously, since I can no longer ski (I fell in love with blades) due to my cancer.
Keep up the girl power, Cash. And best to the whole Rowley family.😘❤❤❤

@Heidi Flyingmartini Hurricane i have very advanced, stage 4 breast cancer. There is currently no cure for my rare type of breast cancer. But I'm defying the odds.

Cash is so awesome and full of life and so smart and agile and with it. She's inspired me to do this and I've never been on a snowboard...I'm doing it man..!!!!! So I can have as much fun as Cash..Gail

This seems so long ago. You can see her natural instincts to squat & lean. She had style even at one. When did the tutu start?

Yep! She just didn’t go consistently till about 3/4

Wow just wow. Kids are so fearless and Cashy is an amazing kid. To see how it all started with the whole family there is inspiring. Will be looking out for Cashy in the Winter Olympics

Actually, they have explained in other places that this was 2 days before her first birthday and that she started walking @ 9 months.

Wow look how little she was! I wonder if you guys realized to "cool" seed that you were planting... I love to watch her go flying now! My kids get a real kick out of seeing someone the same age as their younger sister on the hill. Very fun to show them that she's been practicing a good long while! So awesome!

I can't find an affordable 80cm snowboard anywhere! Burton seems to be the only brand that sells 80cms and their over $300 in canada

So why did they make her snow board? Was she well known already? The way this started makes it seem like a big deal for more than just being one year old. I'm just curious I guess. Very interesting and definitely one of a kind!

Kaylee Graff we got the board and bindings from Burton and her boots are Sorels we found on Amazon for something like $30! Stoked you liked her video of shred!

I think she started gradually switching around 4 to 5
I mean no disrespect but a 1-year-old really doesn't know whats happening, however, I do believe starting kids out young so they can learn to be more active outdoors.

@@Yelita who’s going to bump into her? She has her parents, uncle and…I guess, grandparents. All scanning the area, making sure it’s quiet and safe! She could fall and bash her head on the table corner at home. Maybe get all 1yr olds a helmet to wear around the house! 😊

So here's an example of "Child privacy' She wasn't old enough to say that she didn't want to be filmed. She seems to have turned out just fine.
She doesn’t seem to be too excited about it really-her face does not show any joy! The adults are way more excited about it than she is!
I think she was still quite young to understand what's going on. But I think the joy of the adults transfers onto the child as well. She's made tremendous progress since this video
