found a better strategy with chadley, its exactly like your strategy but I learned the game randomizes your monsters almost every round. so I kept retrying until I started the game where chadley starts the match with a helitrooper. since there's no barricade with his helitrooper, you can immediately cast spells at his main bird, and then use your own helitrooper to advance, call out your guard dog and trooper in front of the bird and land the killing blow.
I keep getting the middle tower on a bees but then the guy I put down with the dog keeps snapping onto Chadley's barracks instead of finishing it off 🤦🏼♀️
Hey your strategy actually worked out well for me and I just wana say BIG THANK YOU..I kept restarting the battle until Chadley launched his Helitrooper then I send in mines as well just to get the line moving up fast then I use my spells and finished him off with a dog guard...those dogs are weak shit but they take quite a chunk of health 😉...I got my trophy I never though I'd make it this far on hard mode and becoming a Fort Condor Grandmaster i enjoyed the mini game and it was nice to see it returned from the original FF7 PS1 game.i really wish this game gets a mobile stand alone release its a neat little fun RTS game with some final fantasy love ❤️...thanks again.

@Orin Watson Sweet Johnny Cage's Strategy works best in fact its what I been using to get the "Condor Queen" trophy 🏆 on Hard Mode....his strategy is very fast and efficient where your objective is to send a heli-soldier out to the battlefield it will move over to the enemy's side faster than any of your troops this allows you to send the guard dog at the main condor(the one in the middle and it's the one that will guarantee you a win if you take it out first and quickly)...then while your guard dog is getting his attacks in simply cast all & every magic spell on the condor.This will wear him down in seconds and sometimes it would be enough to kill the condor and secure an easy win.keep in mind u will have to reset the game so that you start out with the right solider u need to win.i forgot what board i was using but watch and imitate what Johnny is doing

Quick tip try and restart to when chadley summon a heli trooper instead of a barracks you can just spam all 3 spells underneath him then use the heli trooper and guard dog and quickly get one more out to win.
Same here lmao. This and the soldier training were driving me nuts (the secret so soldier training is to spam triangle for the smaller boxes in case you didn't know; I dunno why no youtuber ever tells you this) Now I'll just tackle the rest of hard mode easily and get started on Rebirth. I wish I didn't spoil myself so much but oh well
Great guide as always! Chadley gave me an enormous amount of trouble though. I was able to pull it off by switching the elite helecopter with a regular one because it is one less ATB with 50 less HP. It allowed me to get the dog out earlier to get around the second barracks easier then I was able to pop another regular helecopter right on top of the dog in the center as soon as the ATB filled to get that extra hit for the win. This worked when Chadley used his first move to summon a helecopter instead of a barracks, I'm not sure how it would fare against a round when he uses the barracks first as seen in the video.
Once I tried the grandmaster board with the team, I decimated everyone first try on hard mode (except Chadley, his main tower was so close but the timer ran out) great video 👏👏👏 I’m surprised how easy that was

Brilliant guide!! I'd already beaten Kyrie and the Middle Manager but was struggling with Roche before searching for help. With this guide I beat the rest - including Chadley! Took me maybe 10-15 retries with him, though. Managed to get it when he started with the helitrooper - so I released mine and used the spells. I was struggling then because I'd place the guard dog which would go to the outpost. So I just put the elite grenadier down directly in front of the condor and was lucky!
Thanks, had a bit trouble bc I thought the wall in strat would still work but in hard mode you need the main to be destroyed... Hated the guard dog in normal but here it was really useful

I too and struggling to get the line behind the barracks…. Like I get lucky on some starts where he doesn’t always have a barrack in front and it’s a slug so I can do the spells real quick but I’ll do a helitrooper and it doesn’t get close enough to the right side condor and even if I put down a grenadier to move up the line I don’t have enough atb so they get wiped out before they can even atk or they atk something other than the center condor…. Kinda annoying as it seems luck has something to do with too…. Resets are needed haha

To beat Chadley: Grandmaster Board (buy it from Old Snapper after beating Chadley on Normal. You can still purchase from him on Hard), bum rush him, quickly spawn counters for his forces on his side. Nice video, helped me for sure.
I tried this and cound not beat Chadley, but I managed to do it with similar strategy, but using grandmaster board. It has wind and thunder, so no worry of spell not hitting. I also used stop on the barracks and use my quickly filling ATB to help me spawn a lot of low cost units to kill the base :)
5:03 How do u use the magic one directly after another? I tried this but my cursor gets back after using one magic … than i have to put the cursor again at this position - it costs too much time 😢
I got ultra fortunate that Chadley spwaned a helitrooper first so I had plenty of time to drop all the spells before he could summon the barracks. Rest went without a hitch.
I was using the Assassin III with a combination of Barracks and Helicopter and I was absolutely decimating everyone but Chadley was completely overwhelming me, I used this strategy to beat him.
Loved this and all of your FF7R videos. At the 2:40 mark, you suggested that a Guard Dog would attack a Barracks, and I don't think that is true. I tried placing a Guard Dog right in front of a Barracks multiple times, and every time it walked right past it and headed straight for the nearest Outpost or HQ. The Fandom wiki seems to agree with me. Try it a few times and see what you think. Thanks so much for all of your help!
The dog ALWAYS targets one of the side condors, never the main one, no matter where I put it. I don't know what you did to get it to target the main one, but it never does for me.
You basically have to put him dead center in front of the condor, so it becomes the closest thing. It will never go for the condor if you put him somewhere in your own base, or anywhere except dead center in front of the condor.
Maybe they patched this for Chadley….guard dog will never attack HQ even when placed directly in front if there is an outpost up. Not viable for hard mode in October 2021. 78 matches attempted on hard.
How did you managed to get the chadley on with the guard dog.. omg I couldn't get my guard dog in on the center as the line didn't 😭 sit right over the tower..
i place the elite heli trooper vs chadley but the line of scrimage doesn't go as far as yours. mine is a little bit further away from condor. so i can't place guard dog and elite grenadier near the condor fuck. did they patch this sht?
my bad, i did it now. just realized you were using a regular helitrooper there, not elite. so i used the regular one and now my line of scrimage went as far as yours and i beat it finally. thanks!
So, I ended up doing it a bit different. I reset until Chadley started up with the helitrooper instead of the barracks. I cast all my spells. Only 2 hits left. Then I put the dog to move the line, (Chadley will cast Aero away) then I put my green barracks when the dog reaches the furthest away, and then put another dog as soon as I can. I did this a couple times until a trooper from the barracks and the dog got a hit each which was game. I do think they patched the method on the video
Have the patched the method for Chadley on PC? Been trying this for like half an hour and my helitrooper can't push far enough for my guard dog not to get stuck on the barracks or for it to go for a different base completely.

I am trying to do this strat, but for the love of God everytime I get my Guard Dog into position he always goes for the outpost even though he is closer to the HQ. That's the one thing that holds this minigame back, you cant direct your troops.
In chadley fight: the trooper always aims the baracks, why? The helitrooper doesn't go so far as in your video, so the line is much more behind. And the guard dog is goin after the condor on the right. So everything sh... :(
I actually beat Jesse before I saw your guide. I just bum rushed her with low cost units with the battalion board and shielded/regen on the group and poisoned her group.
Best guide on youtube, can beat anyone easily with this... I wished Fort Condor wasn't so hard and the game could be beaten with strategy but it cheats so much.
@@SweetJohnnyCage Figured it out. Still can't beat Chadley though. All 3 materias only damage him for half and he kills off dogs/grenadiers too quickly. Can't move the line up to anywhere close to where you do on account of the fact that the helitrooper starts attacking from about halfway into his territory rather than going close. One of the most insane trophies in the series, if not PS, history. I'm on about 200 tries as it stands.
My characters refuse to target the fuckin birds. I could have them lined up at the opponents side, but they'll walk all the way back to stop one dude from attacking my birds
I am a full 45 minutes into failing against Kyrie with this strategy. BabyRage And like clockwork, I win immediately after complaining... yet I'll never learn to just complain before I first try. This strat definitely isn't working out for me, tho. I spent another 30 minutes failing on Jessie. I think I'd have better luck just trying to play it without cheesing ;_;
bruh his condor kills everything with one shot i dont have time to do everything. its always helitrooper dies to aero and guard dog gets one shotted by the condor. theres no time for the ATB to charge for a grenadier
This makes no sense. It doesn't work. I've seen other people do this too, but I use the exact same board with the exact same units, and deploy them exactly like the videos do, but my units get obliterated too quickly for me to do any damage, no matter how many times I restart.
And now I finally got it. It just took me about 70 tries, and I'm not even exaggerating. A lot of times when the helitrooper stopped at the target on the right, it wasn't even far enough for the guard dog to go for the center target.
I had to beat Chadley the legitimate way, and not by the cheap all-out blitz method you taught me for every opponent before him. It just wouldn’t work against his insane defense. So good ol’ barracks after barracks with a few sledgeworms up front once the scrimmage got close on the grandmaster board finally overwhelmed him.
Bzzzt wrong again as always, I follow this, drop dog, dog chooses to attack box and not condor. Place grenadier ad well.and he chooses box over condor. So much for this method. Palm face.

I actually beat Jesse before I saw your guide. I just bum rushed her with low cost units with the battalion board and shielded/regen on the group and poisoned her group.
Best guide on youtube, can beat anyone easily with this... I wished Fort Condor wasn't so hard and the game could be beaten with strategy but it cheats so much.
Has this been patched? Can't use the materia on an area of the board you don't control on my version...

@@SweetJohnnyCage Figured it out. Still can't beat Chadley though. All 3 materias only damage him for half and he kills off dogs/grenadiers too quickly. Can't move the line up to anywhere close to where you do on account of the fact that the helitrooper starts attacking from about halfway into his territory rather than going close.
One of the most insane trophies in the series, if not PS, history. I'm on about 200 tries as it stands.
My characters refuse to target the fuckin birds. I could have them lined up at the opponents side, but they'll walk all the way back to stop one dude from attacking my birds
I am a full 45 minutes into failing against Kyrie with this strategy. BabyRage
And like clockwork, I win immediately after complaining... yet I'll never learn to just complain before I first try.
This strat definitely isn't working out for me, tho. I spent another 30 minutes failing on Jessie. I think I'd have better luck just trying to play it without cheesing ;_;

bruh his condor kills everything with one shot i dont have time to do everything. its always helitrooper dies to aero and guard dog gets one shotted by the condor. theres no time for the ATB to charge for a grenadier
I cant for the life of me figure out how to shoot the condor with the spells initially.

Swapping in a level 2 grenadier worked better for me, you have to be less precise with timing

Beat the game on any difficulty to unlock it..then replay the game using chapter select..works much like FF7 remake
This makes no sense. It doesn't work. I've seen other people do this too, but I use the exact same board with the exact same units, and deploy them exactly like the videos do, but my units get obliterated too quickly for me to do any damage, no matter how many times I restart.
And now I finally got it. It just took me about 70 tries, and I'm not even exaggerating. A lot of times when the helitrooper stopped at the target on the right, it wasn't even far enough for the guard dog to go for the center target.
Chadley strategy doesn't work, the stupid wolf alwasy go for the Eagle on the right.

I had to beat Chadley the legitimate way, and not by the cheap all-out blitz method you taught me for every opponent before him. It just wouldn’t work against his insane defense. So good ol’ barracks after barracks with a few sledgeworms up front once the scrimmage got close on the grandmaster board finally overwhelmed him.

Bzzzt wrong again as always, I follow this, drop dog, dog chooses to attack box and not condor. Place grenadier ad well.and he chooses box over condor. So much for this method. Palm face.
