Up at 4:00 am, checking to see if their horses have eaten their dinner, rubbing legs, checking temperatures, mucking stalls, prepping for training, gate schooling, bathing, hot walking, holding a lead shank while their horses are in an ice bath, applying poultice and bandaging legs, this is just a small part of the job description.
