I love the concept and execution. Hate the story ending. I don't like that the guy blames himself. His father gave him the bottle as his first taste of whiskey, EVERYONE watched him drink it, as you bumped into people drunkedly. Then they watch you go get your jacket and car keys, as your sister watches you be unable to open the car door, or even un parking break the car. NONE of this is James' fault, literally NONE of it. ANYONE could have spoken up at the party, your sister could have been smarter. Literally none of it makes sense to be YOUR fault. Because of this, I hate the ending. It should have stayed that it was a tragic event from the other guy being a drunk driver, and your just mentally unstable and trying to piece together what happened in your own way. It doesn't help that literally the game, the sister, the doctor, EVERYTHING is FORCING you to say "This is my fault", forcing a confession out, while being recorded, incriminating yourself, while you might actually not be crazy or insane, and instead the doctor could be working with the police and have you under drugs to illegally force a compelled confession. After all, you are the only survivor and they need someone to blame.
Yeah. The presentation is remarkably good, but the story's built on some really dumb tropes (Everyone clowns on "It was all a dream/You're crazy and self-deluding" as a framing device for a reason) and it relies a bit too heavily on everyone making completely braindead decisions in order to work. It's especially annoying in a game context, where you can see everything coming a mile away but are railroaded into it anyway. Although I suppose this is intentional in this case, as a sort of narrative torture device? Not sure that automatically makes it good though. Maybe I'm just mad that we didn't get a cool sci-fi horror game instead. I think a more fleshed-out chapter 3 as it's own full game would have been sick.
This game is awesome!!! *Game at the start* : "GET OUT, GET OUT, GET OUT, GET OUT THE CAR, GET OUT THE CAR." *Me* : "Wait what? I don't understand, Why??" *Me at the end of the game* : "get out, GET OUT, *GET OUT FROM THE F**#CKING** CAR* " *Game now* : "Whaaaat? I don't understand what u wanna do, try something else")))
So glad to see you playing this game! I came across it a month ago and streamed it for a friend of mine so we could figure out the puzzles together and follow the great story narrative😄
I love the straight up Stranger Things vibe this game gave off. It was wonderfully crafted. Play Faith next, if you haven't already; haven't seen it on the channel. It's an absolute classic IMO
Hey Insym! I was your 600th subscriber on UA-cam, I first watched you when you played Scrutinized! Thank you for your content, I love it! Keep it up buddy!
Wow, what a masterpiece. What an epic find. I totally lost track of time. This is a must watch! Thank you very much for uploading this content with everyone 😃 Thanks for all your hard work, its definitely noticed.
This was very interesting game it kept me guessing . But than I kind of saw it coming I thought that the main protagonist had something to do with what was really going on . Just didn't know in which way unfortunately in a lot of Indie horror games the main character has done something but doesn't remember what they've done . And you have to put the pieces together while playing the game but this one was a pretty good twist and kind of unbelievable . The ending was just to contrived he couldn't stop he wrecked the car but still had the sense to frame the other guy how do the doctors know through his weird sessions . I get that his gilt was eating him up what he's gonna be in the sight ward from known on .
This is one of my favorite games ever! Another game that has good atmosphere but that doesn't rely on jumpscares is Detention by Red Candle games! Glad you enjoyed this one!
I'm not sure if you noticed, but when you walked back to your station at the very end of chapter 3, there was a massive tentacle grabbing on to the roof of the building.
Insym, I don't know if you've ever played a game called the Possession Experiment but this game kinda reminds me of that game. Kinda like you're a person in a chair manipulating the environment. Maybe a game you might like!!! Always love watching all your videos!!!
I’m not into these types of games but it’s a good idea for sure! I’ve just never been into reading my entire life but I can see how this could actually be awesome to someone who does. Good job to the developers!
Game Recommendation : Hey Insym! My husband and I are big fans. We just played "As Dusk Falls" and think you would love it. Hope to see your YT playthrough soon!
I played this game a long time ago, I was going through a time where I was into text-based adventures. So very cool, I loved the puzzles, expecially in the artic chapter.
this is one of the mose excellent games I've seen in a long time. I think I agree with your assessment that it's the most impressive horror games ever. so well done, and I was SO genuinely tense for a lot of it. ESPECIALLY the station in greenland. that whole section was brilliant.
I love how Insym have a tunneled view. He is just unable to see anything around, unless he reads the chat. Thank you chat for always being there for Insym. Hahehehehe
Love this game, and glad you enjoyed it! My only issue with your playthrough is you kind of missed the giant tentacles everywhere in the snow area near the end.
hi insym. you should definitely play firewatch. ;) doesn’t seem like classic horror but it still has horror :D trust me. good game for you and your channel ;)
@@darthbaluuduh6598 really? boah... i don't know how i missed that... but i guess insym's everyday a 2 hour video output can knock you out :D haha. thx. cheers guys
Have you ever played Her Story?, It was a very popular game years ago, Its like an FMV, where you look and search at old clips to solve a crime Would probably be very fun to watch you figure it out
I like, that mic is not in our face. Gives some room to use your voice without yelling on viewers ears. My ears appreciate it. Now I can hear the game volume and not get yelled at
Watching Insym play the game for a 2nd time, you see how all episodes give details about the real narrative albeit cunningly and creatively obfuscated in varying degrees.
(spoilers ) ohhh I absolutely hate Jen, yeah it was James who was a criminal for putting blame on an innocent man but who was the who convince her brother to drive knowing he LOOKS and SMELLS drunk 💀💀💀 Jen had a clear mind and yet she chose death herself
The game is fine until the very end, when it literally spoonfeeds you bullshit and turns your character into a brainless moron with you as the player having no say in it. Instant turn off. Let alone the fact that the basic premise of just blaming the crash in such a way would NOT work AT ALL, as the first blood test would immediately show the truth. So that was a kinda lazy writing. But it could have been remedied. The easiest way to do so would be to give the player 2 ends to explore, which would be decided by what the player writes/does. With the first option being that the main character would be a tragic character, blaming himself for something he did not cause, and the other may have been this, with the slight change that the police would of course find out what happened in mere hours, no matter what you told them (plus the fact that the MCs sister is blaming him for something she caused and its interpreted as she being right, thats also mindboggling). But no, the devs had to choose the most stupid storytelling available. I would not buy that.
if you're referring to the very end where you replay the typing game and you go through the steps of getting into the car with Jen, i think they did that very intentionally. often when tragic events happen, the survivors of it go through "what ifs" in their mind. they painstakingly go through each and every moment of the event, thinking of what could have happened if a single thing changed, if anyone told them to stop (for example, having to go through every motion of starting the car or the game berating you when you tried to do the right thing and stop). i agree that the fault wasnt entirely on the main character but i sort of feel that is the point. guilt is not a logical feeling. even though the main character was drunk as hell and was nowhere near his right mind and blame could be passed to Jen or anyone for not stopping him from driving, in HIS mind HE killed his sister and ruined the lives of the people he loves. guilt isn't rational and is hard to cope with, hence the made up scenarios he concocted in his mind to deal with it. because the memories by themselves were too much.
Clearly I don't get it because the praise this game gets is lost on me. To me, the story is the same indie-style story as always, just with typing. I guess everything is just beyond me.
Insym is one of the most consistent and entertaining streamers around, love the content!
I would like to comment on the video but there's 69 comments
I laughed out loud at the crazy look in your eyes when you turned to see another vision when the scientist told you to stop. 😆

I love the straight up Stranger Things vibe this game gave off. It was wonderfully crafted.
Play Faith next, if you haven't already; haven't seen it on the channel. It's an absolute classic IMO
Fun fact, Kyle Lambert made the logo for this game. He's the one who also made the art for stranger things.
Faith? Isn't it about blind girl?
I love how into it Insym got at the end of the first chapter, gave me chills.

Does this man ever sleep? Insym is an absolute beast at cranking out amazing content
This is so artfully done. This team did an excellent job. Watching you of all people play was incredible. Props to the devs!
The snow scene and the blurry part of the hospital legit triggered my motion sickness. Ive never had a video game do that to me before 😵
I can't get over the voice acting. It's legitimately really good. Must have been a huge investment and it definitely paid off.
chat being so confused about a tape loader screen makes me feel hella old
Thank you for becoming my new comfort streamer on twitch and uploaded on yt ❤️ 1000000000/10 content
This is one of these games that even a simple gameplay and limited settings can still bring a very immersive story that gets you hooked.

Oh man, I completely forgot about these. I remember watching them way back. It was super fun watching you go through them yourself!
Great psychological thriller!!! I can see this becoming a movie or something. That plot, the clues, how it came together....like I can't even.
This game was a lot like your We never Left Experience. Loved it.

This was so good to watch and Im so glad you did them all back to back, what an insane story!!!

Insym! Can you play Yaso?

This might need an epilepsy warning, especially for chapter 2
