- Kayaking The Wild Ep: 12 🌴
After stocking up with coconuts and travelling 20km, we pull the kayaks up at the mouth of a very small, crystal clean river system. It wasn't long before the curious resident croc came out to see what was going on. This camp spot was honestly one of the best! We're well into the swing of daily life in Cape York and getting closer to our destination- The Tip of Australia 🇦🇺. Hope you enjoy the episode, I'd go back there in a heartbeat! Az

I am Portuguese and 40 years ago I lived a life like this in Mozambique. I will never forget.
Blessed to be able to have that chapter in your life, thanks for sharing.
Trip of a life time.
Food looks great. Doesn't get fresher than this 👍
You got that right! One of the best parts of these longer form trips
Been loving the contrast of the two of you, and the videos you are both producing. Fab viewing, it's must watch stuff. Cheers blokes.

The kayakers never show enough about the catching and cooking part of the video. Just the fish and finished product

That croc footage was awesome, loved the camp you found, looked like somewhere you could spend a couple of days just chillaxing. Really enjoyed the kayak packing explanation. I was confused AZ, where is the dunny on that thing?? Cook up of all cook ups at the end made me fanging hungry! Cheers for sharing the fun, Stay safe all !
Thanks for watching and the words of encouragement . Dunny... its pretty much do your business beforehand and hope for the best. Luckily we all had strong stomachs and cooked our food properly. Otherwise may have been a few awkward moments on the high seas.
@@BacktoBasics LOL, How funny would a dunny be on one of those!
Living the life!

Lekker! Cheers for watching mate 🤙
This has been the best yet of the kayaking series. Keep inspiring brothers!
Wow......paradise. I wish South Africa was in the same latitudes to have such tropical climate and scenery. Enjoy it mates.
Thanks for watching- S.A is also lekker. But gets pretty cold down south, and no coconuts haha. All the best!
@@BacktoBasics thanks man how cool that you know our local word "lekker". Yeah we're making use of barbeque (braai) fires to keep warm lol. All the best to the whole team.
Nice video
Wait .... Where's fran
Hi bro thiyagu from India 💗💗💗💗💗🌺🌺
Thanks for replying
Love the vids mate keep it up
Those red rocks near camp suggest huge mineralization event did any of the boys bring a gold pan?
We had a lot of gear packed into the yaks, but gold pan wasn't one... could have been worthwhile though!
@@BacktoBasics gonna have start picking your gold game up ;) would generate new viewers and could spark interest in your current viewers :)
Main thing mate look out for those geckos good work anyway
They're watching us... watching them ! 🐊
💪
Was that ice in the esky?
have you guys thought about burying a few of those coconuts give nature a bit of help?, maybe dosen't matter who knows, just a thought, love you'r vids, never seen Australia from this perspective, totaly awsome!
Agreed! And there was a few places that didn't have many that we snuck a couple in the sand for future generations 🤙 , gotta pay it forward!
How do you keep the electronics (drone, phone) charged up??
I'd guess he has a bunch of batteries and utilizes solar powered power banks (which you can use to recharge batteries). I talk about them on my channel, they're extremely useful
👍👍👋
How are you getting this footage out to us and edited, a behind the scenes would be amazing
The trip finished up 7 months ago I believe..
Roads I didn't expect?
Neither, this was a single off road track that is on the coast- a week or so travel south from the tip of AUS.
Look out when you get a bit further north to Jacky Jacky Ck lads theres a few big lizards in the mouth there.
A couple of massive ones, we bypassed the mouth as fast as possible without an outboard 😅
@@BacktoBasics haha good shit. love that area of aus mate. this series you are putting out is awesome btw.
Feral as
Sure felt like it after a couple of weeks... never felt more alive!
Is anyone else getting jumpy filming on UA-cam? The last two videos from Az haven’t played smoothly. 🤷🏼♀️
Thanks for the heads up Sharon, we will look into it!
God's nuts :)
So sad to our crap ruining the land and horribly killing our wildlife
Its hard to stand in the middle in, nature is so giving, and we all gotta give a bit more back. thanks for watching Joolz
How the fuck do yous not get more views
Yeah, not bad content, but you couldn’t or wouldn’t have done it with Albert, but I’m sure he could have done it without you. Albert Wetteling is a modern day legend ….
I love u plz pin this
This is not self sufficiency, because it is not indefinably sustainable as a lifestyle. To be self sufficient, you need to be able to make and maintain all of your equipment, shelter etc. This includes the kayaks, paddles, your clothing, shelter, dry bags, tools etc. What your doing is playing "let's pretend". It is a nice illusion though!
