i'm half flip 1/2 brit (IloIlo/ Sara) , Mechanical Engineer and fisherman too! That was VERY well spoken ! My full blooded American friends could not apply the technical jargon as well as you did! I need to visit the P.I again.. my favorite place!
The description of how you made this was great. The information was very well laid out and explanations for things like the press fit were greatly appreciated. I do understand press fit but showing the diameters of drill bit versus pin diameters will help a lot. I'll be making myself a few of these benders now after seeing your video. Also i have all the parts and lots of old drill bits at work to use as pins. Thank you!
Very nice! had hard time bending wires with just pliers, glad I found this, Was alot harder to make this tool with just a cordless drill but managed, maybe not as good as yours but definately works
Awesome video! I don't even need one but was so impressed at the excellent way you show how to do it. One of the best DIY videos I have seen. I don't hear well but understood perfectly how to do it! Well done!
Good Job Man! I know what your welding issues are. Need to use gas and foot pedal. I know because I ran out of gas before and a foot pedal changed allot giving me control of the arc. Keep up your work and God Bless!
Also using a piece of metal / welding wire / rod would add metal to bond the two pieces together another thing the tip of the welder shouldn't touch the pieces it will ruin the cup and or tip that throws the arc instead practice keeping the tip really close with out touching the parts being welded , it should make nicer looking welds and parts won't get stuck on the tip of your welder also you won't have to replace the tip or ceramic cup as often , foot pedal does help but isn't necessary the best thing to do is practice the control of the arc while welding and on dry runs meaning no weld but act like you are to insure you are confident before starting to weld especially on bigger projects, mainly keeping the electrode from touching the work piece was your problem which with practice can be easily fixed
Great job, thank you. This device interests me to realize shranks for intruder flies. I just have to buy a drill press to be able to drill straight, for the rest I will find nuts, bolts and steel rods in the nearby DIY store. all the best. Y.S.
Thanks for the bender idea. I made two of them, but I had to use my small drill press to make mine. I'm sure the mill makes them a lot easier. I used my benber to make European fastlink clips, Gemini clips, wire inserts for my Do-It molds and many other things. This is a great little tool. Thanks again.
@@angelswayofadventure8368 I needed to bend some 1/8" Tig wire, so today I took your idea and made an oversized version from a 1"dia. x 2" lgth. bolt with corresponding nut. I am making some hook closures, to use with bungee cord on my Z-bait fish traps. The steel dowel pins I used are 1/4" and 3/16". The Allen bolt I used is a 1/4" diameter. I have to finish welding the handle on, but a test with a large closed end wrench went perfectly. Like I said before, this is a great tool and thanks again. 👍
Superb idea and very well implemented. Saw your original video about bending the wire and wished you could have made it in English and was pleasantly surprised to see this English version of how to make this diy wire bending jig in detail. You got yourself a subscriber here bro. Will be getting a jig like this made for bending wires for my sputnik lead sinkers.
you should sell them through ebay or better directly through paypal let's see many people who don't have all those tools... thank you very much for sharing your invention
Obrigado amigo, você me ajudou muito, mesmo eu não falando inglês, entendi bem como fazer esse dobrador!!!!! Aqui no Brasil chamamos de pitão essa argola da isca artificial!!!!!
You are so cool and great. I watched your video and tried making the same tool but I cannot due to the limited diy tool I have. Hope you consider sell the finished product commercially.
Thanks for taking the time and effort to make and post this video. Obviously, by the title, you must have made such a video in a other language, and your accent suggests you speak English as a second language: your English is very good! Your descriptions and filming are very clear and easy to follow, well done. While not the focus of the video, that red/sparkly lure looks amazing. I will be interested to watch on how you produce those. All around very well done!
Oh, and you stuck the tungsten on the part...there are two kinds of TIG welders: those who occasionally stick the tungsten and those who lie about it. ;) If you'll re-grind the point of the tungsten after sticking or dipping it in the metal, it will arc and run better. A drill to spin the tungsten and a bench grinder make fast work of re-grinding those. Thanks again for the video.
Thanks for translating & sharing 👍👍 watched your jig mold as well also great , trying to poor my own & make my own any tips on what to coat jig w/ before foil hot stamp & what to clear coat it w/after foil 👍👍thank you
Nice...!! What is the purpose of the second small pin...? The one further away as it does not seem to be used.... only the small pin closer to you is used as the stop to create the eye.
Thank you too.if you want a Russian subtitle just click on the setting on the video click on subtitle/cc then click Russian Language...keep safe my friend and have a Happy Holiday.
Hi, What is the difference between using a bender with two pins vs one with four pins? Could a bender with three pins also work? Many a thanks, good stuff!
The only difference in putting a pins is when you put a different sizes of pins in one bender because differnt sizes of pins can give you many choices of hook eye sizes...the small pin is for cornering only but the big ones are for your eye size
@@angelswayofadventure8368 Thank you. Also please, can the CORNERING pins be of any size? For example, if I have a 4 mm and a 5 mm pin, can I make loops in those sizes while using the other pin as a cornering pin? Or, do cornering pins need to be smaller, like 2 or 3 mm? Thanks again.
Hello dear friend, could you send me one of these, I would be happy. tell me how much you want it would help me a lot. I would even love some different sizes and measurements.

The diy bender that you are showing is different than the one that you give the instructions for. You only show how to press two dowels in the original bolt not the one that you have mounted on the bench. So there are total of 4 dowels on the bolt not 2. At 3:16 both compare
Yeah but the method is the same I only fitted 4 dowels but the concept is just the same...because you can fit 2 kinds of bender in one bolt i just show 1 set...
thanks man, the best DIY wire bending tool video for lure makers i have seen 🤙
