Yes. That is the joke.
I’m happy the scene that showed him as an incompetent salesman was deleted. The magic to Michael Scott is that he’s an idiot, and ostensibly useless- but a complete genius at his craft, which is sales. The show so perfectly displayed his ability to continue to thrive through hard times in business, and that’s what makes me cheer for him as an underdog.
The other ones were gold though!
Agreed! I remember Office Ladies podcast covering this in how they would adapt for an American audience. Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant both said it's important that he's not completely useless like David Brent was, because in the US you'd just get fired (and probably would never have been promoted to manager in the first place) so they made a character decision that he'd be a great salesman to make his position believable. I think that was such a good choice.

@@OoMikkioO I didn't remember that he didn't make a single sale there. Maybe in that job, all those employees treated him exactly like he wished Dunder Mifflin employees would, so was completely distracted from the job and just enjoying people wanting to be friends with him.

You can imagine how often they had to shoot this.
They should have brought Michael's mom just for one episodes in which she would have treated Michael like a child and told everyone his embarrassing moments from his childhood.
I work with people with special needs (adults). Many of them often talk about their mothers. Eg. "My mother said I have to do..." or "my mother told me to always..." etc. I've never met any of their mothers. Sometimes I help topup their mobile phones, because they call their mother a lot. I can only imagine what these women go through to raise their special children, but they form a very special bond (pun not intended).
I'm not saying Michael is written as special needs, but he is certainly.. different and exhibits symptoms

It wasn't, from what I've seen. Dwight's talking head right after was the part that was deleted.

it wasn’t, it’s just there to give context to dwight’s talking head afterwards, which was deleted.
It wasn’t deleted, and the scene of Dwight talking after was the deleted one. But the reason some haven’t seen it is because some (very few) different scenes play in different places. For example, when the office was on Netflix I spotted a few scenes that wasn’t on peacock after the show had been moved to peacock.
At 7:15 the only scene in which Michael asking Toby to stay. He always ask him to get out. Deleting it kept the consistency of Michael's love towards Toby ❤️
But if you look closely, Michael is not asking Toby to stay, he wants Toby to give him an adjective which is not already on the list and which is fun 😂😂😂
At some point no ones gonna have enough money to afford each of these individual streaming services, it’ll go back to the original few

That’s what happens when the established corporations get involved. They just go back to their old ways.
And back when there was just Netflix, Hulu, Amazon prime and a few others I could just pay for those and have all the movies and shows I wanted, now there’s Disney, paramount, peacock, hbo, discovery and a bunch of others that I don’t have the means or want to pay for
The amount of money I would be willing to offer if it was possible to wipe memory of the TV show from my brain so I can re-watch it fresh would probably scare a lot of people who have never seen the show themselves.

To be honest I also wish it, but I enjoy it the same everytime I rewatch it, it just never gets old, at this point it’s also a comfort show so I binge it all the time

I wish they had left the wallet scene in. It was such a great diabolical Pam moment. And it was some of Raine's funniest line play.
The “cancel card” segment is sooo accurate.
I like how Angela is enjoying herself during the mad libs scene, considering she has a great time doing mad libs with Andy in a later season.
Pam's "You did?" and her eye contact with the camera is basically a polite version of "WTF WERE YOU THINKING?!"

The deleted scenes makes a show more good, it gives us the knowledge of the small details, and the deleted scenes of The Office were pure gold, they shouldn't have deleted it.

Aww, that was so sweet how Pam was able to get Jim and herself to put Dwight’s cards back in his wallet and return his wallet to him after Jim was trying to get Pam to help him to decide whether to tear some of the cards or buy a horse or something with one of his cards.
When Pam and Jim team up for a prank it is comedy gold!! I love them in sooo many ways as they are so good together whatever they do- the pranks and the fact they are so in love.

I know it was when Jane have a women meeting and so Micheal wants to have his men meeting and bring all the dudes in the office to the warehouse. And then Micheal would be like a trouble child making a big mess in the warehouse.

Pam and Jim decide to give the wallet back to Dwight exactly how they found it. But Dwight is obviously suspicious, he doesn't believe them. He thinks they probably spent the money on his cards, that's why he calls the bank to cancel his cards. But there's a robot answering machine and he has to pronounce "cancel card" so slowly (and funny) so that it can understand him. He goes through so much trouble, when all the money on his cards is still there.✌️This is a good prank, but I feel bad for Dwight... 😅

I would say it is an automatic voice detector. They did not work very well back then, so Dwight tried to speak more distinctively every time.
