Roseville, huh? Great opportunity: Take dB readings of Nemophila, then rush over to Rocklin, take readings from a Union Pacific eastbound just starting to hit the grade, and see who's louder. (One time an engineman took me inside the body of a Santa Fe F45 cowl unit, closed all exterior doors, then kicked the 20-cylinder, 645 GM engine wide open [engine was isolated] -- FAR louder than any of the zillion metal shows that I've been to (and that includes you, dear Motorhead)!
Ok... What's your Point? That Roseville Metal shows aren't as loud at the Eastbound train leaving town? Appreciate the Comparison(inside joke?) but who gives a F... LOL
@@DennisDom Me. After seeing countless metal shows, I thought that I knew what continuous loud sound was, but that F45 incident gave me a new perspective. Everyone should try it once, just to have had the experience. "Play it loud" never had the same meaning for me again. A Motorhead show was three steps down. Modern locomotives wouldn't provide the same effect as models from the late '60s to mid-80s, since they have so much noise baffling and other EPA/FRA Tier 3 and Tier 4-compliant equipment on them. Taking in the extremes of life is the only way to establish a meaningful context for the life experiences that you will encounter. Plus the comment allowed me to give Roseville a shout-out (you do realize that most Californians -- much less other people -- have never heard of Roseville, so have no idea where it is. Now that they do, they can come experience the charm of the town for themselves).
Need to invent a time machine so I can go back to this show over and over again
