For those who are confused and wondering why DT.Appledog/ where is Gun/Tong Nian, you got to understand each drama is based on a different novel. This is not really Season 2 (timeline wise), hence the drama name is Dt.Appledog's Time. Go Go Squid and Dt.Appledog's Time are two of the three novels in a series written by the same author. Each novel writes about a different pair/CP in the same universe. This drama and its novel revolve around the story of Dt and Appledog. In the novel, the timeline of Dt.Appledog comes before and beyond timeline of Go Go Squid. As for why they are playing different sports.... cuz whoever produces the drama changed the setting (one computer another robot). In the novel, K & K/SP is in e-sport. Hope it clarifies things for those who did not read the novels. The novel was great and I hope you enjoy Dt/Appledog's story.
I think they’re doing robot because they’re not trying to convince kids to stay in front of a computer all day. Just like how the dramas and shows that block and covers tattoo and the violence stuff.

Yasss true that!! In the novel-verse, dt&appledog's story came first but the drama-verse, it was gun&squidy's story. So yeah things were a bit reversed. And the timeline of the novels werent linear to begin with, they were all just set in the same universe but the stories hardly intercepted. And reading the novels after watching ggs1 made me love dt&appledog so much. Like ive been waiting for this drama for like 4mos or so now.. when the trailers and mvs came out, i was so over the moon!! Still am!! I subscribed to iqiyi's vip access just so i can watch it in advance...

I can't relate to this as Ai Qing (Appledog) is a different actress in S1 and at least ten years older than Wu Bai ( DT). According to this episode, it has been 17 years since her love affair with Solo. My head can't wrap around it since this actress looks so young....and of course, DT has not aged one bit......Edit.................................................Okay............... After reading more comments I guess this is one of three Linear Novel including.. Go Go Squid. All about three separate couples. I still can't wrap my head around the fact this robot game is nothing like the CPT game in Squid..where DT ranking number one .

Zhou Yi (One) is played by the same actor as S1. All also returned Ai Qing (appledog) , Shen Ze (Grunt), Wang Hao (SOLO), Su Cheng are played by someone else . probably some others too but It’s not coming to mind now . I’ve seen up to ep 8
They need to put english sub in it for the non Chinese comprehension audiences. I’m sure I’m not the only one that doesn’t understand Chinese but love to watch Chinese drama.
Go Go Squid season 1 will always have a special place in our hearts and so, Season 2. Please don't drop this series. It's a bit boring at the earlier episodes but it gets more interesting at the middle til the end. It has so many funny scenes and the chemistry among the leads is so strong. I observe Hu Yi Tian's acting, he's more mature now. He's so good in expressing his act. Especially when you see his eyes. The heart and soul of this series are Wu Bai's son (AI robot), his grandpa, AI Qing's papa, 97 plus 1=98 🤣 and Mr. Forever love 😅
huyitian is really a workaholic😂 this guy spend two years keep filming dramas, almost no holiday, no break, just working and working 😂 so many his dramas are aired recently

The most touching Part Of the story lies when wu BAI announced on the stage that DT. Stands for appledogs time and ai qing is moved to tears what a beautiful scene this drama is so touching i felt sad when i completed it but i advise u to see this while drama

This timeline happens at around 3 years before the events in GoGo Squid season 1 since the announcer at the beginning said that the Solo team started 7 years ago, but in GoGo Squid season 1, it's 10 years ago. I think the reason Demo doesn't appear now is because he only met Wu Bai later than the other members, where else a lot of the other members of K&K appear because they were once on Wu Bai's robotics team.

For all the international fans out there: So wubai won against appledog in a competition. Appledog's dream was to join in the international competition of that categorie, so when she lost that wasn't possible anymore. So she took part in another categorie and won, so they both went to malaysia to the international competition. On the beach they met each other and come closer together. In that scene you can already see wubai got problem with his eyes, which causes him blindness at some times, so he is very sad because for him it's sad that he can't see his love all the time. Hope that helped you understand at least what's going on. The thing about GGS.. When I started watching it, I was expecting a light romcom drama.. BUT turns out, it’s more than that. Friendship, dream, love, family, etc were all packed in the drama PERFECTLY. The characters, OST🔥, the OG team SOLO, KK team, of course Tong Yan & Han Shangyan! Is just nostalgic 💘 I’m expecting a lot from this drama, because of S1! Really Looking forward to the story of Wu Bai & Ai Qing❤️
I had to go back and watch S1 to understand the story of appledog dog and DT better before continuing with S2😃 I must say I like appledog from S1 I wish they hadn't changed her😢

This timeline happens at around 3 years before the events in GoGo Squid season 1 since the announcer at the beginning said that the Solo team started 7 years ago, but in GoGo Squid season 1, it's 10 years ago. I think the reason Demo doesn't appear now is because he only met Wu Bai later than the other members, where else a lot of the other members of K&K appear because they were once on Wu Bai's robotics team.

This season 2 is so much different from season 1 story cast every thing is so much different.
Because it’s about the cousin now not the first lead in season 1, i guess by the end of this season the first lead will show up.
I didn't bother checking out this drama for a while as the title sounded silly! But WOW! Finally watched it AND it was good! Recommended!

So wubai won against appledog in a competition. Appledog's dream was to join in the international competition of that categorie, so when she lost that wasn't possible anymore. So she took part in another categorie and won, so they both went to malaysia to the international competition.
On the beach they met each other and come closer together. In that scene you can already see wubai got problem with his eyes, which causes him blindness at some times, so he is very sad because for him it's sad that he can't see his love all the time.

When I started watching it, I was expecting a light romcom drama.. BUT turns out, it’s more than that. Friendship, dream, love, family, etc were all packed in the drama PERFECTLY.
The characters, OST🔥, the OG team SOLO, KK team, of course Tong Yan & Han Shangyan! Is just nostalgic 💘
I’m expecting a lot from this drama, because of S1! Really Looking forward to the story of Wu Bai & Ai Qing❤️

作为看过原著真的超喜欢吴白跟艾情的，刚看了8集有蛮多还原原著，而且胡一天跟李一桐真的演的很好角色很符合她们。很多人看不懂正常这个就是属于她们俩的故事是k&k还没成立，佟年跟韩商言还没遇见 所以也别说什么为什么没有韩商言跟佟年，而且这不是第二部。小说的顺序是神之左手-密室困游鱼-蜜汁炖鱿鱼。
好多打差评的都没看过原著😅刷蜜汁炖鱿鱼的好烦

@@nonasj7652 yes, the female lead is older than the male lead. In season 1 ai qing or appledog is a former CTF player of Team Solo where the leader is her ex. I think she has the same age with han shang yan.
DT looks weird running after a girl. He was so low-key in Go Go Squid season 1 I'm glad is coming out of his shell. This new take on competitive events is growing on me.
