LANSINA DIAKITE Ensemble (Markala, 2012) Ngòn Fariman

This is a performance of drumming, song and dance of the piece "Ngònfariman" ("the mean chimpanzee"). This repertoire is associated with the Bambara ethnic group from the Segou region of Mali. The city of Marakala, where I made the recording in 2012, is in that region.
