Dont want to be negative here but I think wala na yatang pag asa ang mamamayang Pilipino. The government could do really great, pero hanggat mananatiling napaka undisciplined ang Pilipino, walang mangyayari. Still kudos, kasi naman nakikita natin na these leaders are really doing great na ayusin lahat ng basurang iniwan ng dating mga nakaupo.

I used to walk through city hall underpass, bonifacio park as a college student going around manila.

I salute Mayor Isko Moreno. For the first time a Filipino leader has the KEY for the Philippines community and people to put into practices and follow the rules of laws, for betterment of all to dream success and peace. One thing to add, to sustain the restoration of Manila or any community, the barangay leaders must be trained to explain to the people (especially those who are benefited with the old corrupt system) must have the discipline and courage to follow the rules to STOP corruption. Removing bad habits may take a generation to change is the only option for a better Philippines. When young Filipinos chose a career to work and stay home rather than going abroad is a sign that prosperity for the people has been delivered.

Here from Chicago, grew up in Cebu: I share your sentiment - Isko Moreno a breath of fresh air- truly an inspiration, even at personal level. I share the same concern for his safety and as a physician ,myself - a concern for his health. He needs to find time to rest.
Mayor Isko learned good political leadership through a Harvard University program, so let’s presume he also learned the importance of Work-Life balance for long-term health. 😆

I was born and partially raised in Tondo, around the Franco and Pacheco area, then lived during school days while attending Holy Child Catholic school, in Padre Herrera across the LaMallorca Pambusco motor pool, after my family moved out of the slowly decaying environment during the onset of the gang wars between OXO and sigue-sigue. Went home for a visit during the Sto Nino fiesta earlier in the year and was dismayed by the chaos. I am glad that Manila finally had someone who has the political will to enforce existing city ordinances. Now, I am praying for his safety and for the Manilenos, to embrace the improvement that the good mayor is advocating and submit themselves to discipline and economic growth for everyone.
