Great point on the pintails… we are down to one pintail a day in the southern US while Canada is absolutely mauling pintails… what a joke. You can shoot a limit of mallard hens or pintail or whatever you feel like.
I've watched other shows that has killed almost 8-10 guy limits of just pintail....many young hens. We were pretty close to having a closed season on them is what they Saud last year...when professionals are just killing them at will its sad. There are enough ducks to be more picky. But guides don't care, just want guys to get their birds.
it is extremely frustrating especially with the hens, which the limits were the same all the way up and down the flyway. Guided trips were they kill a 50-100 ducks a day is kind of ruining the sport IMO especially with lower duck numbers every year@@christourtillott9574
Great video on opening day. I really liked the Retriever advice on how to handle a gundog that breaks. I have trained Labs mainly working as a Professional Hunting Guide on Griffith and Nicholson Island. Both in Ontario Canada. With Ringneck Pheasant our main quarry on both clubs. I myself loved to hunt waterfowl over my own personal Lab. Always enjoyed watching a well trained Gun dog work in the field. Great video and looking forward to watching the upcoming ones. 💪🏻🙏🏻✨
I enjoy the videos, just hard to see all the pintails being shot. They are struggling numbers wise. I know Ben said a couple years ago that the early season is lots of pintail. 5 guys can kill 40 pintail a day in Canada, all hens if it be.

I won't shoot 1 hen here in Kansas if I can help it...
😂
I’d rather watch birds work in real time, not slow motion… just my opinion
Thanks for the feedback! We try to give a good mix of both.
