Keep up the good work man.
Great video
I have a question, his name was "Heraclius Constantinus" or "Heraclius Novus Constantinus" so i wonder why he is called Constantine III and not simply Heraclius II Constantine like Tiberius II Constantine or just Heraclius II?
Heraclius New Constantine is referred to as Constantine by later sources, which is why we call him Constantine he also used Constantine on his coins. It is like how we don't call Diocletian emperor Gaius II. Constantine's half brother Heraklonas is sometimes called Heraclius II.
@@EasternRomanHistory Ok, thanks for your answer friend =) yeah i remember to have saw heralonas being refered as heraclius II, but then i want to ask would ut be an error to call constantine III : "Constantine III Heraclius"?
There are sources which enumerate Heraclius novus Constantinus as Heraclius II and Heraclonus as Heraclius III, but they are rather uncommon.
@@AdriatheBwitch And no, this is actually entirely correct. Many historians use this nomenclature. Others use "Constantine III Novus".
@@thewitheredstriker I see! Thanks!
Great content man
Thank you very much
Great 👍 work.
I wonder if Hercules died in 630 and Constantine the third had to deal with the arab ?
Probably would've been an improvement. At the time of the Arab Invasions, Heraclius wasn't much use, Constantine III could've commanded in person. He couldn't lose any worse than what happened in our time line
I just founded out I am his descendant!!!!!!!!!
