114060 was 40.2mm and 124060 is 40.5mm. It’s officially 41mm after rounding up. The bezel width didn’t change, the extra 0.3mm went into the dial diameter, which the longer hands help to proportionally counter.
Had a seadweller 43red but sold it. Wasn’t quite right, just never needed the date. I tried this on at AD that only had one for display and it felt perfect. Waiting for mine to come in 😅
The main focal point of my collection is Patek - so for me this is actually the only current Rolex reference worth having. I gotta say, though, it absolutely IS possible to get them at retail from an AD provided that you have some half-serious spend history and are prepared to wait a little. (I guess it might be very hard for a new customer without spend history.)
Can I ask a rude question? How close are the San Martin homages to the real thing? In terms of fit and finish? I understand the movement can't be compared to, but as far as polish and feel, I really do wonder how close San Martin's pricier pieces get.
Thank you for watching Eugene. The finishing on the; case, clasp, and crown, are close to Tudor level. The bezel, bracelet, and case back; are finishing to a higher level on a Tudor,; similar to Rolex. Or another comparison; overall it is equal finishing to a Steinhart Ocean One 39. Regards, #WR4K
Thank you for pointing out the opposite crown setting. I was surprised as i received mine delivered moments ago and immediately looked for videos regarding it.
@@Keebmen Thank you for watching Edmen. Congratulations. Excellent choice. Wear yours in good health. The Chronergy movements such at the 3230 used in this piece reverse the hand direction. In the 3130 when one rotated the crown clockwise, the hands moved clockwise. With the 3230 rotating the crown clockwise, makes the hands rotate anticlockwise; the opposite way to convention. Personally I prefer the hands to rotate in the same direction as the crown, rather than reverse. Regards, #WR4K

@@maitrehg San Martin ( the premium models ) has WAY better Lume on their watches than Rolex. Even some Oris watches carry longer lasting Lume. But Rolex certainly isn't THE best.
@@watchreviews4k Technically you wore it. Great video, but yes I believe it's worth waiting a few month to get one brand new for a few grand cheaper. Luckily the waitlists are much more reasonable these days.

a red SUBMARINER text and seconds hand would make this a total killer, touch bland in just black and silver now due to extreme copying! haa
