Eddie Murphy in the 80’s was so huge he performed his stand up act at sold out stadiums. Like Queen or Bon Jovi 😂 Then they filmed him doing his hour and half of stand up called it a movie and put it in movies theaters. And that movie is Eddie Murphy RAW!
Even if you can’t react because it’s super “R Rated” you two should definitely check it out just for fun. It’s some of funniest stand up of all time!
Rick James is in this video and I think he produced this song. You need to react to Rick James - 'Super Freak'.
And wrote the song… it’s a Rick James song that Eddie sang. That was prob the bet.
This was what Eddie was doing when he turned down being part of “We Are The World”. Something he regretted. Spoke about it on Jimmy Kimmel.
Yes Eddie had a pretty successful Music Career also has a song with Michael Jackson called “Wazzupwitu” the video is hella trippy tho simply cause it’s Green Screen and it was just a favor from MJ lol cause Eddie did MJ’s Short Film for “Remember The Time” which is iconic but the song is a classic very underrated track between MJ & Eddie✍🏽✨🎯💯💯💯
Was just going to say the same thing. Love that video
Yeah Eddie can sing…check him out on Dream Girls. Rick James wrote this song…as you can see that him in the video.
Sorry to inform you Rick James sang it. I heard it back in 85 just found out a month ago
@@Mark-iv7np so that’s not Eddie singing. I heard the song in the 80’s too
@@Mark-iv7np dude Eddie sung that song. Rick did back up
@@Mark-iv7np wrong. Eddie sings lead, you got the wrong info
Wait, Rick wrote it?? I thought the reason it was generic was that (comedian) Eddie wrote it. Mind blown.
Richard Pryor actually started out singing then went into comedy. Another comic that has a good singing voice is Jamie Foxx.
Eddie Murphy used to do a great impression of Michael Jackson. Its in his first comedy special "Delirious".
Ha ha, you're right.
Stevie Wonder on SNL.
I'm not sure if you know this or not, but Eddie Murphy's started his career in comedy. If I remember right, he was one of the original cast members of Saturday Night Live, and was funny as hell. He was also a stand up comedian in the 80's and let me tell you, they guy was like a ROCK star in that world. You should check out some of his comedy bits from his 'Delirious' tour or his 'Raw' tour. Be prepared to censor though, the language is not safe for UA-cam's algorithm.
He was not an original cast member, he was '81 to '84. He has been said to have saved SNL because as the original cast left slowly, the shows quality also dropped. His characters were what everyone tuned in for.
@@papamaniac2410 thank you for the correction!
Are you trolling or do you actually think people don't know Eddie was a giant stand up? You're either really old or really young bc yeah no shit Cpt Obvious. Did you not notice when they called him a comedian?
@@FURTHER_ADO I have a few choice words for you but youtube will not let me post them so instead I'll try to take the Chris Rock path and try to be a better human than you, which is probably not hard to do. I posted this before it premiered, so I did not hear what they had to say in the reaction of the song. I've been watching reaction videos for years now, whether it is movies or songs and I've seen many people who have no clue Eddie Murphy was a stand up comedian. They only know him from the terrible movies he has made since the 90's. The fact that you do no realize this with younger youtube posters seems to make you the dumb ass.
SNL debut in 1975, Eddie Murphy would have been about 15 at that time.
Now was this before or after Rick rubbed his muddy boots all over Eddie's couch?
lololol
Rick James on the adlibs
Eddie is one of the funniest people around. Rick James in the booth. Y'all should do Super Freak by Rick James. Cocaine was Big in the 80's 😂
"Cocaine is a hell of a drug" :P
"Cocaine's a he'll of a drug!!"
@mattjohn4731 Funny shit! I just sent that then noticed you did. I wonder how many people get that!!
You should see his performance in the movie Dream Girls with Beyonce. He can actually sing really well.
You should react to Rick James "Superfreak".
I'll say this: When this song came on in the club back in the 80's, ALL the girls hit the dance floor, so that got my ( and all the other fella's) attention! ... This song was pretty damn popular believe it or not . . . . .
You should def react to Rick James’ “give it to me baby”
Eddie Murphy has a song with Snoop called "Red Light".
Rick James was a master producer
The Murphy's and Rick James were REALLY close. Rick James wrote this track and produced his album. People who are really good with impressions can usually sing pretty good because they have such good voice control. Just look at Jamie Foxx
This came out when I was 10 years old and my mom and I used to wait for it to come on the radio. Everyone loved Eddie Murphy in the 80’s you should check out his older movies like Beverly Hills Cop and 48 hours.
It was pretty good. Another surprise was Patrick Swayze had a pretty good song too.. She's like the Wind
Crockett and Hutch had songs too.
WTF?
I picture Rick James in the booth saying "sing it darkness!".
Ha ha Yes!
Do Darling Nikki by Prince.
Now you have to do some Rick James
This song will forever give me a good almost giggling feeling.Eddie Murphy and Jamie Fox both sing their A.. off in Dreamgirls.❤Rick James big hit is (Super Freak).
' Eddie Murphy! Youre the Fuck You man!' .. 😁 lol.... Correction Eddie if your girl likes to party all the time then shes NOT YOUR GIRL,,,,.... SHES OUR GIRL!... LOL
He hit #2 just because people wanted to hear what he sounded like. He was smart and kept his regular job!!
the sound of this song is VERY 80's with the synthesizer/keyboards. Man we LOVED this song in 85!
If you haven't heard Rick James yet you should check out Super Freak and then you should listen to MC Hammer's Can't Touch This.
He has a song with MICHEAL JACKSON, check it out!! 'WHAT'S UP WITH YOU'
Song was terrible then it’s terrible now, how many times can you say party all the time, party all the time, party all the time, party all the time, party all the time, party all the time, party all the time, party all the time.
Lol... that's the wrong song from him... do Boogie In Your Butt. Trust me. LOL
I have loved this song since it came out. There were many times over the years that UA-cam, knowing this, would recommend it to me at 3 in the morning and the answer is always "yes, UA-cam. I think I will" 🤭
Bruce Willis also had a hit song, "Respect Yourself". It wasn't great. But it might be cool to listen to it since he just announced his retirement from acting due to aphasia. 🙏🏼
For Rick James, you must start with "Superfreak" because you know that song even if you don't know it but my favorite of his is "Give It To Me Baby".
Please react to Rick James' music videos like "Super Freak" and "Give it to me baby". His music was great and those videos are kind of funny to watch now. He had many hits back in the late 1970s to the 1980s and wrote songs for other artist like this song for Eddie Murphy. FYI his uncle, Melvin Franklin was one of the Temptations.
Love this,. Every time we walked in a club the first thing I did was ask the d.j. For this song. 💃🕺. 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
eddie man with meny talents acting, imitation, singer, stand up comedian... one is eddie!!!!
Lol bruh he actually did a song with Michael Jackson. You got to react to Deion Sanders Must be the money too though
lol you should react to Eddie Murphy RAW... 😂
Now you guys have to do Eddie Murphy- Put Your Mouth On Me!!!
Eddie Murphy did another music video... kind of. On Saturday Night Live he did "Kill The White People" pretty funny. ua-cam.com/video/-vc5igOAJ7k/v-deo.html
*Eddie Murphy* has a pretty good voice and yes he does have other songs! Here's a list of his songs that might surprise you *Red Light (Duet with Snoop Dogg), What's Up Wit You (Duet with Michael Jackson), I was King ( Duet with Shabba Ranks), Promise (You Won't Break My Heart)* and *Temporary* check these out you'll be surprised. *Love ❤️ Peace ☮️ and Happiness 😃 Y'all !!!*
This song was a JAM back then! People were in awe that Eddie put a song out, he was so famous even back then, people were like " wuut? He put a song out? OKAY I'M WITH IT!!"💕💕
He has another more recent one with snoop dog called ‘red light’
Y'all better get on some Rick James!
Rick James/Teena Marie-Fire & Desire is a must.
He also sings "Boogie In Your Butt". Gotta hear that one.
Gotta Love Eddie & Pimpin Rick!! 🔥
Hey congrats in all the success, I've been watching your videos for a while and you guys are awesome! You really should react to Rick James more, but don't do super freak or fire and desire, everyone does that. I would love if you react to, Hard to Get, Love gun or throwdown, they all have great videos, and they are great song, Hard to get has to be my favourite tho, cheers!
The gentlemen with the long hair singing at the end with Eddie is the great Rick James !
Check out Eddie Murphy- “Oh Jah Jah” and “ red light feat. Snoop “ 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Also Put Your Mouth On Me
Rest In Peace Rick James
Wazzupwitu!!!... 😆🤣
Love Eddie! This song is still a favorite of mine!!
Eddie Murphy - Red Light ft. Snoop Lion (Official Video)
ua-cam.com/video/jiiFzKfuPMk/v-deo.html
He did a song with Michael Jackson lol... called Whats up with you...lol... crazy... Great reaction... This was back when all actors thought they could sing ugh... Patrick Swayze, Don Johnson...Eddie...ugh...
If you want to watch Richard Pryor, watch....The toy or Moving, but can't forget Brewsters Millions.
What was the bet? That Rick James couldn’t make a hit song with anyone. Arguably Michael Jackson “borrowed” Rick James sound…
I forgot to suggest this in my previous comment 5 months ago,but here is Eddie and MJs official hit song together: [HD] Whatzupwitu - Eddie Murphy ft. Michael Jackson.
Its a good vibed banger! Here is 3 more Eddie songs: Eddie Murphy - How Could It Be , Eddie Murphy "Oh Jah Jah" [OFFICIAL] & Eddie Murphy - I Was A King (Featuring Shabba Ranks)
He would impersonate Rick James on SNL. So, Rick James wrote this for him.
I second the vote for Eddie Murphy - Raw. I've seen it a dozen times and still laugh my ass off. Eddie has another song that's pretty funny - Boogie in Your Butt. It's got more of a James Brown influence to it.
Duuuude. Check out Eddie's song WITH Michael Jackson. It's the weirdest shit I've ever seen.
Hi can i recomend 4 groups from Iceland no.1 Of Monsters and men no.2 Kaleo no.3 Sigurrós and no.4 Björk :) They are all known in USA.
No, we do not know what you are saying because every 10 seconds you keep saying..."you know what I'm saying". Just speak the English language and speak your thoughts without interrupting your train of thought every 10 seconds with the useless and meaningless phrase...."you know what I am saying".....
Eddie and MJ were close friends, they did several collabs together,so that Eddie is abit inspired by MJs songs,is only natural. Seen Michael Jacksons "Remember The Time"? Several well known celebrities in that one.
Also check out: Eddie Murphy - Red Light ft. Snoop Lion.
You should watch the movie Harlem Nights (Eddie Murphy & Richard Pryor). It’s a classic! 💛
You said giving you Michael Jackson vibes check out A song called whatz up by Eddie Murphy and Michael Jackson you'll like it 😊
Well you know why it was a hit.. Rick James wrote it & did back up vocals& let's not forget Eddie Murphy was a Humongous star.
Pull up Eddie Murphy “Raw”, check out old Redd Foxx stand up he would have been dropped faster than Dave Chappelle
.Doesn't sound like a MJ song to me. It actually has a Rick James flavor to it. If you know Rick James. He wrote the song and sings on it. Listen to Super Freak by Rick James.
When and if you react to a Rick James song, pls, pls, pls, let it be fire and desire. I GUARANTEE you, neither one of you will be disappointed. One of his best songs, with Teena Marie, and a classic still to this very day.
Be VERY careful reacting to anything Richard Pryor. I've heard other channels have gotten STRIKES by doing so. Not sure if it's certain content or what, but just a heads up.
You should do Cold Blooded by Rick James. (and the cover by Ol Dirty Bastard produced by Pharrell)
I don't think a lot of people took the song 'seriously' but it was a fun beat and Eddie was really making us laugh in the 80s. 😆
Eddie Murphy had done the song with Michael Jackson and Eddie Murphy has another song that he did too, this one's called I was a king. Eddie Murphy supposedly had done I was a king for the Malcolm x soundtrack.
Eddie has a lot of songs...Not just one song...He even has a song with Michael Jackson and Snoop...You both need to go down his rabbit hole and listen to a lot of his songs...You will like them...Another early days song by Eddie is " Put Your Mouth On Me ".
Rick James Produced this song check out Superfreak by Rick
Lol I have to laugh when people say a sound sounds like MJ… it was the 80s. It was the sound of the time. No disrespect to MJ, he was great. But this was pop of the 80s.
And yes we did party all the time ☺️😆😉
The guys wanted the girl who partied all the time and the girls wanted to be the girl the guys chased. We were young wild and free. Such an interesting time to be young. We mostly didn’t actually sleep around, we all took care of each other. You could get shit faced and trust the people around you to be good.
Eddie Murphy was so huge in the 80s. His Beverly Hills Cop movie was something we lived for. I can still hear his laugh, he was pure epic in his own right.
Rick James: Give It To Me Baby and Super Freak. Amazing songs.
as a child of the 80s it was hard to take this song seriously lol but I couldn't deny it sounded good at the same time. It was very confusing LOL
I honestly don’t get Michael Jackson vibes from this song I get more prince vibes. song is 🔥 tho
You might be surprised how many actors have songs out there. Heck, Bruce Willis and Don Johnson each had songs/videos on MTV.
Defintely need to react to some Rick James! Superfreak,Mary Jane,Give it to me baby!
Heard this in 85 dug it. Just found out it's not Eddy but Rick James. It's bogus, fake. I understand you didn't know I didn't till a month ago. Too bad this occurred I hate this crap.
Yo look up Aries Spears spoof of this from MAD Tv youll LOVE it lmao its HILARIOUS
Richard Pryor was amazing. But watch Eddie's stand up and on Saturday night live. He is the Goat
This song was a joke to all black people at the time it came out back in the day, because we were not accepting him as anything else but a comedian/actor. It was like "wtf is this"? It did not go over well with his black audience. Nowadays, we are all more accepting of it and actually enjoy it, but at the time.... It's funny how time changes your perspective of things! By the way - this song was produced by Rick James (if you know who that is) and he sings in it too at the end. If you don't know who Rick James is - that is your next mission to go down that rabbit hole.
I believe Rick James wrote the song for Eddie to sing. Love the song. Should listen to Asher Roth -My girl ft meek mill (this song is sampled)
Lol… so 80’s … true, can’t get past that The majority know Eddie as a comedian.
Check out this other Eddie track. This one is not bad for a reggae track. Check the link. Peace bro.
ua-cam.com/video/jiiFzKfuPMk/v-deo.html
It might have all started with Eddie Murphy's "Put the Boogie in your Butt". A song he put on the end of one of his comedy records. A joke song that alot of kids sang back in the day...adolescent humor, but hilarious at the time.
The Michael Jackson vibe is probably because the beat/rhythm sounds like a faster version of "Billy Jean".
Watch the movie dreamgirls. He plays a singer named Jimmy earl (think that's how you spell it) does a fantastic job
U think that's something react to Eddie Murphy ft Snoop(Dogg)Lion Red light 😁
Hear no evil see no evil. Great movie you should watch. Not even for reaction, just chill watch a classic 80s comedy with Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder.
This was fire in the 80s kid lol...but yeah...def mj wanna be...eddie would tell ya and rick
There are a couple of more famous actors that has made their song.. That you wouldnt expect. Also from the 80's I think. Just cant remember now.
I just mentioned Eddy didn't sing this but Rick James maybe bum information passed on. Sorry if it wasn't true
Chk out His other song with Snoop Lion Red Light, it’s actually pretty good caught me off guard for real 😂
I loved this song when it came out. You have to think of it like this. Most comedians that can pull off and mimic different voices can actually sing. A lot of them do sing. It's in their voice control.
React to Eddie Murphy feat Snoop Dogg - Redlight. Which is a good song, unlike this one.
You should check out "Red Light" by Eddie Murphy with Snoop Dogg or "Oh Jah Jah". Those are probably his most recent tracks.
Bruce Willis under the boardwalk. No I am not joking.
