It's so super hard being a revert..I'm American born and have answered Allah's call to Islam. I'm not dressing 100% yet but I am on that transitional journey. I was shopping and a wonderful Muslim Hijabi Niqab lady with her little daughter also in hijab was next to me so I said Assalamu Aylakum and she was shocked I said the whole greeting and asked if I was Muslim I said yes even though I don't quite look the part yet..there is a work in my heart only Allah can see right now but soon the outside will reflect the inner journey I'm on.
Welcome to the Muslim Ummah, sister!
May Allah strengthen you in your Deen, and keep you steadfast!
Please remember the Qoran was revealed for 23 years.
ALLAH sees your heart... Never stop every baby steps
Sister, may Allah guide you until you surpass us all inshaAllah, I'd suggest that you be, from the get go, very open and proud about your newness to Islam with all of your fellow Muslims. Most of us, I hope, are very understanding with regards to that matter. Nevertheless, if someone gives you advice on clothing and other similar matters, I ask you to please take it with a positive attitude, even if they, ignorantly, insist and persist beyond what's reasonable. Giving advice is an essential part of our faith and so some may over do it and do it without required wisdom and understanding of personal and cultural differences. Still, almost all of the time, even when applied incorrectly, the intent is mostly for your own good. We're your new, and true, siblings, and we want what's best for you, even if some of us very sadly do it in a misguided way. We, including you sister alhamduliAllah, are all part of a single body of believers, and so, in our theology, the worst thing that one can do to you is to not care about you and to tell you nothing. Jazzak Allah Khayran and keep up the good work of learning mashaAllah!
May ALLAH increase with more wisdom and may ALLAH continue to protect you, Allaahumma aameen.
Ameen
Assalamu alaikum. MashaAllah for such an inspiring lecture. May we all have the ability as Muslims to be able to speak the truth and change the hearts and minds of the people and strengthen the Ummah. 🤲
Excellent inspiring presentation! The Muslim Ummah has 2 billion people, not 1.5 billion.
If the Ummah come together in the world no one can displace or harm Muslims, that is the only problem there is with Muslims ummah. I hope this change soon because Palestinians and rest of the Muslim going through genocide are paying the highest price..May Allah protect them from hypocrites
Sh YQ is right. Even though we are so large in number we have no power as we do not band together and work as one ummah. We are divided. Our belief in Allah should unite us regardless of our differences. May the Ummah unite . Ameen! ❤
JazakaAllahu kheir. I am not in the west. But i share with difficult feelings of muslims in the West against raising Islamophobia and demonstrations targeting them and their properties. Muslim in the West are wondering how our future and the future of our children will be. Such a situation requires leadership to guide and comfort. The type of leadership this Sheikh is providing. However, muslim should also reflect on their internal affairs: division based on ethnicity, nationalism, corruption etc.
Love you Shaykh Yasir
JazakAllahukhairan shaykh very very good lecture ❤
Waiyyak
Thank you Shaykh jazak Allah Khair .
25:50 that's exactly what we need to ponder over well stated sheikh! ❤
Be positive for change is happenings through out . Keep alive the issue.
great to hear sheeeek as best
Great speech
Such an insightful lecture. The small mindedness, petty politics & sectarianism of the Moslem community is backward, narrow-minded and naive. Additionally, we’ve still got farmboy mullahs and sellout Arab regimes. Well said YQ.
Ahumdilla South Africa we have the same freedom
Isn't the problem with the American Muslim community is that we're too comfortable with our lifestyles, our freedom? Uprisings occur when people are downtrodden and have reached their limit. See the beautiful homes that surround each of our masjid in DFW. We are so very comfortable. Where is the struggle that comes with deprivation? I am no exception. The Muslims who are struggling against incredible odds but still holding on, making jihad in every manner are the Palestinians and others I am sure. Forgive me for neglecting to mention them. Comfort does not lend itself to jihad. Look at the results this Spring when many Muslim candidates were running for local reflections and our turnout was so poor. These speeches are needed but I don't see the activism. May Allah guide our hearts, strengthen them, to struggle for our Deen and for the Ummah.
Thank you for stating this. American Muslims are defeated, intellectually colonized materialists who would let thousands of Palestinians perish if it meant that they maintain their luxuries and comforts. This includes these hypocritical Muslim leaders who live in opulent million dollar homes and drive in hundred thousand dollar cars, and then teach zuhd and restraint. These celebrity imams and mashayikh have convinced themselves that they are the true Muslim pioneers when the true awliya of Allah are engaged in the struggles that the Prophet had set a precedent for. Do you know of a single imam who has been frustrated enough by paying taxes that directly are being spent on fasad fi'l ard that he left to a land where his taxes wouldn't be used that way? And these are our role models:? Allah sees all...
Please share to other western countries muslims
Victory 2.d ummah
May almighty.always.b.with.u.akhi😂
Inspiring and balanced.
Just saying in South Africa we are free to worship Freely and we support Palestinians and the oppressed Freely....Just saying
As an ex-pat saffer… let me tell you… we are not free till Palestine is free! Dont be duped!
How is islam the second largest religion in the US?
27:30 Why he forgot to mention Pakistani Americans have most in common with Indian Americans ❤❤❤❤
Why don't you go back to explain to us why it is important that we make friends with the LGBT?
I'm nowhere near as knowledgable as a scholar, but I have some idea.
1. There is no obligations to make close friends with an LGBTQ person, but the obligation is to tolerate them.
2. Allah (swt) says to tolerate all individuals.
3. In Islam, the unforgiveable sin is shirk, the worshipping of an entity/idol other than Allah (swt). However, we still have christian, hindu, buddhist, etc friends. If this is the case, then what is the reason (other than social norms rather than religious ones) to avoid being friends with a LGBTQ person.
4. If we are activists for the restriction of anyones rights in the context of the West (even including LGBT people), then that allows the powers that be in the west to restrict Muslims' rights as well.
5. From the Islamic scholars I have heard, they believe one is born with being LGBTQ. Someone can be LGBTQ and Muslim, and as along as they do not act on it, they haven't sinned in that regard.
I believe that it is not the Muslim's responsibility to endorse the LGBTQ lifestyle, but rather to tolerate it.
Where did he say this? Please provide your evidence. Being friendly does not mean being friends
I don't like two headed, two faced, so called, imams.
He is so enamored with the US and its values. I suspect he is a social liberal at heart; he should openly accept that he finds Western liberal ideology compelling, and drop this guise of enlightened progressive Islam he teaches. But of course, he would lose his following, and his millions of dollars would be swept away...The dollar rules all.
you will regret your comment on the day of judgment. Wallahi you will regret it.
@@NazmusLabs I seek refuge with Allah from being held responsible for falsehood. If I said something wrong, then I seek forgiveness for that.
But, I stand by what I said, as I believe it to be the truth. Have you seen this man's house, his cars, and the opulence with which he lives? Far from the lifestyle of a muttaqi and zahid. It is pathetic for Western Muslims who themselves are drowning in materalism and the blood of their Palestinian brothers which they shed with their tax dollars to put this man on a pedestal. Wallahu a'lam.
