Madilyn here. I love this idea. I gave my Christmas cash in these envelopes for Christmas. Used up my scraps from Christmas projects. They were so much fun to make. I recycle cards that people give me. I'm going through my birthday cards and get sentiments off of them and maybe some way to use them in these envelopes. I have a little cupcake punch that I will use somehow. I will definitely have fun doing those now. Thanks for showing us your adorable Birthday cards. You are so kind to do this.
Hi Madilyn! These are great carriers for cash! I'm so glad you made some for gift giving. Depending on the size of the cupcake punch it can be used as a "window" or a "chimney"...however you decide to use it will be sooo cute! TY!
I have been paper crafting all my life. I was also a Stampin Up! demonstrator in the 1990's. I appreciate your ideas for using up our junk envelopes and book pages as well as other items from our stash. I have been making junk journals since 2018. I love purchasing new supplies, but need to use items from my stash. 😀

When I was a child, probably mid to late 1940’s, they made sunshine baskets for shut-ins. My grandmother broke her leg and received one of these. It contained a scrapbook and Ideal’s magazines to entertain her as well as personal care items like bath powder. She made several scrapbooks and I fell in love with the idea back then. She would have enjoyed these houses. 😊
@@LilianGuerrero I exactly made one! I didn’t realize why I was collecting these funk mail envelope, now I know 😜😆 I have done the accordion envelope journal, I turned a Birthday card into a journal book for my bestie of over forty years 🙏💕
On these birthday houses, I so like the idea of the front flap paper being carried onto the back - which looks like more roof. That made me think you can carry on and create a back of the house if not permanently attaching the house to anything. Journaling can go inside. With a man’s card, add bbq pit to the back! I also liked use of what looks like a polaroid as front window. If you glue a house down, alter the chimney.
You are absolutely right. If you keep the "chimney" just below the top of the "roof" then you will be able to glue the little house down to your journal page. Thanks for sharing the idea of using a bbq grill...I really like that! Thank you! :)

Hello Lilly, I'm a newbie to your YT channel. I watched a couple of your previous 'Little Houses' videos and just thought they were too sweet! I'm going to try and make one this weekend. Thank you for sharing your creativity and inspiration, I look forward to watching your up coming videos and catching up on some of your previous ones.
Madilyn here. During Covid, I sent out cards to our church members every month. One month I had a brad or a small button on all of them and they were going to charge me an extra .15c on each card just because of some bulk to the card that would catch in the machine and they would have to hand run it through. I do know that. Someone told me to put a piece of cereal card board on top of the front the next time, but that might require an additional stamp anyway. So 15c extra might be cheaper. Weighing it may solve that problem so that you will know you may have to just know much it will cost. Dont forget the weight of a gift card or money, too😊

Thank you! You can wrap the paper around the side edges just enough to fold over and reinforce the sides or use washi tape. This has happened to me and I think I go over it in the first video...the Little Whimsical House Pockets. Great question, btw! :)

If you don’t want it to go through regular mail cuz it could get bent I put a regular stamp plus a .24 cent stamp so it wouldn’t get bent
