actually never watched/read one piece, this animatic came up in my recs after my roommate told me about some of her favourite moments of the anime and the manga, and now I'm here knowing only the things she told me about law's flashback yet crying over this beautiful work the art is beautiful, the gentle change in frames adds so much to the atmosphere love it
I highly suggest you watch the series if you do love long animes. It has a lot of heart and soul put into it and it has made me shed quite a few more tears than I ever expected I would over fictional characters

So I read the part in the manga that reveals Law’s backstory earlier this week, and it upset me so much that I had to take a break from reading for a few days. Then I started reading it again last night and the next thing I knew, the poor guy got his arm cut off! So then I was on UA-cam trying to numb the pain with funny One Piece videos, and this came up, and I was like “oh boy this definitely won’t hurt me emotionally or anything” and now I’m crying all over again, I may never recover. :P Absolutely beautiful video, I especially love the visuals chosen for “bruises that won’t heal” and “bring down the government.” This song is so beautiful too, one of favorites from Radiohead.
