This solo camping video was an epic time on an abandoned island. I got dropped off by a boat on this island and spent the night camping and exploring. Sleeping in the rain and finding food on this island is what I live for! Get out side n do this it good for ya! Enjoy.

This is 100% the greatest survivalist to watch ever. He is the most genuine, funny guy. Super humble and just so positive.

Your content is just different and amazing thank you for keeping us all entertained and sharing all your adventures with all 1.32 million of us you're amazing, I remember you getting the noodle rod and I remember you getting all that camping gear you using in this video, it's just wild that it's been 2 years!!! @@unkownuser2712 yeah think I watched from the beginning too but in 2020. When Matt was going out with local fishermen in their boats and he showed off skills he’d learnt from locals, and his already known fishing and camping skills. Glad I subscribed when I did though, started with a few thousand subs, then bang over a million in a short time and growing 👌👍

Man, love your content! It would be so cool to see you on "7 vs Wild" - a German no BS, no camera crew survival show that just started. Would be interesting to see what your 1 to 7 items would be to take on the island and what you would do with them.
This is such a cool idea for proper survivalists. Gonna scrounge the internet to see if I can find a way to watch this in the states lol

I'm sure he would have won 7 vs wild in panama this month. southern sweden I don't know, fritz indeed was a beast last year and cold, harsh and wet environment isn't seen on FD channel.

Maybe the difference is that i acually have a lifetime of experience and expertise out in the bush & on the water.
Most viewers probably think this guy actually knows what hes doing i guess, because theyve never done these things.. but to me it just looks like he got into this stuff 5 minutes ago and doesnt have any real background in the bush.
You know? Looks like he watched a video on how to do something the night before and now hes out here trying to teach us how to do it 😂

No fish, but fish are only part of the fun. Those Asian Water Monitor lizards get massive, longer than any Aussie goanna, you can tell by the extra long tail that's what it is.

Field Days, what got you started?
I'm from QLD and I love to camp and explore the rainforests, coasts and river streams. I've always thought about kicking off a channel and sharing my adventures but find it difficult to get started, although I have plenty of equipment to use in videos, I don't have anything to really record videos with besides my phone. It's something I have a real interest in, just imagine making enough to do something you really enjoy for a living and be free from endless working life.
I'd love to hear your story, what got you hooked and how'd you kick off?

I think I can answer sort of on his behalf. He got stuck in Bali at the start of the pandemic and needed some income so he took his fishing and foraging skills from back home and decided that he was gonna use a combo of that and UA-cam to make a go of it. Because everyone else was locked in their house the channel did really well. It was nice to vicariously go on mad adventures with him.

like david said he kind of got lucky, whilst everyone was stuck inside they wanted to see the beauty of the outside world and he delivered, and honestly im very happy it happened, now i get to see what he sees every week.
