Love it. The whole vibe towards the end almost reminds me of Castlevania for whatever reason. Infected Mushroom manages yet again to make good music. 20 years and they show no signs of slowing down.

You realize that you're listening to a crippled version of the original track, right? Music coming out of the studio is anywhere from 900 to 1500kbps. UA-cam compresses is to only 128kbps, that's 1/10 of the original information, and yet you talk about a high end audio system!?

In some sense it's back to their roots though - reminds me more of B.P. Empire and Classical Mushroom than Legend of the Black Shawarma, for example. Hence the new album name - Return to the Sauce.

Over the years I've noticed that my various headphones and speaker setups influence my tastes. I remember playing Scorpion Frog a few years back on my nice setup I had at the time for a friend and they were totally blown away, did not know music could sound like that.

The way infected mushroom is going is that now most of their songs are either OK or good. What they used to do was that either their songs sucked or were truly beyond amazing. I feel like they settled. This is an improvement from their last few pieces though.

It quite sounds like like something that could be identified as liquid smoke. Ther is so much detail in this song if you really listen to it. Just don't see this as a dance track with a steady bassline. see this as a story wher the sfx are the lyrics.

I like to mix it into my homemade barbecue sauce and heavily glaze the sauce onto a nice rack of meaty ribs then leave the rest of the work to the grill with the occasional flip and re-glaze of sauce

I like it. I read people complained about their new stuff, they said it's not "real trance" and very different from the old stuff. Well, I like the old stuff more than the new one but I like the new one too! And if they are doing something different...whats' the problem? They want to evolve, playing with the sounds etc and change a bit.
Well that's probably because it's NOT trance. It's not supposed to be... and anyway, they aren't a group that can be pegged by any genre really. That's what makes them so good. Completely unique.
