This look if from the death of the family arc by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo. In a previous story Joker had a serial killer named Dollmaker cut his face off and in DOTF he begins to where his face like a mask. Death of the family is probably one of the best Joker stories.
From the artwork it appears to take place during the new 52 before the endgame story. During the New 52 and Rebirth Eras of DC there were some stories that their canonicity is debated like Batman/the Shadow Murder geniuses where the prequel to the comic was a Canon comic to the regular Batman story at the time, so I think DC left it up to the fans if it was Canon or not. So it may fall into the 'maybe Canon, maybe not' category. I haven't read this comic so I can't say for certain.

I love how Batman says he uses his head and finds his enemies weakness and exploits it to scare the crap out of them. So then the enemies break out again, and cause more damage in crap! So the cycle keeps repeating itself over and over. In the long run, the enemies win because they keep racking up destruction and kill counts.

Not really, no. Ghost rider vs spawn is a mismatch of major proportions. there have been times when batman wasn't human from what i foggily recall? it was a weird issue, i forgot entirely the name but the gist of it was that bruce wayne came back to gotham aboard a ship from visiting an ice berg? cause its set in old timey setting, and bruce becomes a magic man bat? yeah that sounds about right, the magic man bat thing i think happened and the ice berg part might be something else, remembering the plot of something you read years ago in a single night is difficult( i do conveniently recall how long i took me to read it though which is weird), a lot of other stuff gets mixed in.

He was originally a badass soldier who got barbecued by one of his coworkers, and made a deal with the devil (malbolgia in this case) to be able to come back because of his wife Wanda. he's also not the first spawn, but he became powerful enough in one timeline that he took God and malbolgia, and put them in their own universe to fight each other and leave his universe alone. you should look up the movies. There's an animated one as well as live action.

Spawn is infinitely scarier than Batman in every conceivable way. Seeing Batman come at you is bad, seeing Spawn come at you is absolutely horrifying.
