Serve myths debunked: Former Top 100 ATP Pro, Jeff Salzenstein, is exposing 3 common myths that could be crippling your serve potential. Most players make at least 1 of these 3 mistakes... Do you? goo.gl/YaS6Jm
I just watched this video for the first time today and took it to the court for a match. I've never served better. So much more power and it was effortless. I was also able to get a much higher percentage of serves in. Great video, Jeff!
Jeff- Have followed and enjoyed your channel for years. I always associate you as the, Elbow The Enemy guy and either failed to understand the move or just failed to use it. I see your Elbow The Enemy ad multiple times a day on UA-cam. I have been using this technique recently and I can honestly say this move solves multiple bio mechanical problems with my serve. It promotes shoulder rotation, knee bend, leaning into the court, head and arm up and the shoulder over shoulder move. Also, greater racquet head speed with more whip. I never dreamed that your one move can improve so many components of the serve. Thanks. Cam
i used this yesterday and was hitting aces like crazy , and it felt effortless as well i had great disguise on my serve as well Thanks so much JEff , watched your match vs michael chang that long ago and you were acing him like crazy.
Great tip -- I had been having difficulty figuring out the best way to swing my racquet back on my serve and kept trying different approaches. This simple easy to remember tip really helped make my serve seem effortless. It also helped improve my second serve as well. I have watched many of your videos and this one tip may be one of your best.
That is eye opening. My god this might just be the best tip that i have ever got since my serve is pretty weak. Thanks a lot Jeff, definetely trying this asap
I have a floating elbow problem, and I think it’s because I don’t get the elbow set back with the toss. Should I elbow the enemy with the toss? Bearing in mind I’m aiming to serve similar to Djokovic with a lagged backswing
My serve is still bad...just don’t feel good when I hit the ball. I guess something is so wrong with my rhythm and toss. I tried tossing the ball vertically and inside the court:/
The toe of your left foot ( left handed serve ) should be at least level with the heel of your right foot , ( could be further back but never further forward , i have a 119 mph serve. @4:15 + 15mph = 134 mph . wow must try this , thanks jeff

Start with the hitting arm bent at 90 degrees and work up a backswing from that. You'll get a lot more power. Look at Djok :)
This is great advice folks, one of the few UA-cam nuggets that actually works
Thank you, appreciate your nice comment!
Best serve tips ever!

Swetal Shah yes!
Should you turn your shoulders more on the second serve or is it the same for the 1st and 2nd?
Boris J it should be similar

I recommend tossing first and then turning. Therefore, you will elbow the enemy after releasing the ball.

Louis Cyphre not sure you can add 15 mph to your serve
Einstein's Theory of Special Relativity , but i will give it ago as my elbow is pretty low relative to yours.
Louis Cyphre good luck !
115mph fastest today , this elbow movement is actually quite difficult to master.
Louis Cyphre it can be at your level
I prefer to use the "knife the enemy in the back with a roundhouse kick!" technique. It has improved my serve tremendously!
Awesome! Great to hear that Sherwin.
Knife the enemy? Found Monica seles' stabber
@@fleekdasheek9176 Never heard of it.
Best
Does this work even for forehand and backhand?
Manjunath r what do you mean? It’s for the serve
