The game does seem to be extremely sensitive for damage. When an AI gets a tiny shark bite on their front wing they box that lap for a new wing. Jeff gets upset about damage even when the damage panel of the MFD says no damage whatsoever
True. And it feels heavier too. Even with slightly yellow front wing the car handles like there's no front wing at all. You have to box or you're toast. If I'm not mistaken, last year it was more lenient. You lost some time, sure, but it was manageable up to a certain point.
@@MegaCityGhost Yeah thought it was only me. Even tho my wing says no damage and its green the car feels way heavier and Jeff gets on the radio suggesting I should box for a new frontwing
@@walkingaroundtheworld3341 yeah if you go into replay mode you can see the damage but it doesn’t show on MFD for some reason. I only found out after I pit and they changed my front wing when I thought it had no damage

@@em4945 It doesn't instantly snap anymore. It's more realistic and very catchable. The traction loss last year felt like driving over a sausage curb

Sidepod damage is actually true. The slightest of touches won't register on the MFD, but you can feel it, as AI drivers catch up really quickly. I had bad experiences in My Team - it was like Max Verstappen driving in Hungary with half the car...
That was basically the real race if Ocon had stuck it straight in the wall

When you don't play f1 with assets watching people who use assets have then suddenly turned off is so funny because you know that was you about 5 years ago for me
lol im the chri$ guy and I usually play with Tc medium but I spun at the start with tc off and then spun again and gave up

Has to be nerfed, along with the cars themselves.
There should be a factory setting like in assetto corsa. Or else maybe a setup where you can make the Abs or Tc from 0-10 (also like in assetto corsa)
@@goki6548 just have a separate TT and make ABS reduce the speed you can take thru corners and on exit. (By at least 30%) preferably 50%

playing without assists for me is quite challenging but very rewarding when you manage to drive clean race.

Damage panel should be monochrome meaning grey is car = fine, but then regular colours so green is slight damage, etc. Makes it easier to see damage since when the car is green to say it's fine, and you get damage which is also green, it's impossible to see. Especially when you're racing and you dont have all the time in the world to look at the damage panel.

F1 2021 is only my second F1 game so far but I'm loving it. Can't wait to get a new PC so I can buy a wheel/pedal setup to unlock the full potential of the game.

I've had front wing damage not show up on the MFD but Jeff told me I had slight damage. My steering was actually heavily compromised as if the wing were completely broken off
