I feel Malik is on a learning curve that is doing what I kind of expected; he is much improved over last year and needs to improve anticipation, touch, and accuracy. But these can come in time. In interviews he is rather self-critical, which is a very good thing. The key component in growth is understanding that you need to improve and where. I feel very positive about him. There is an old adage about NFL quarterbacks that they tend to blossom in their third year. (This is part of the reason why lots of people are high on the Jaguars this year… they see the progression of Trevor Lawrence and see very good things.) Malik started at a very raw, low point and is now good enough to be considered a viable backup for Tannehill. I think it’s possible for him to grow and have a chance to be good next year, so long as he keeps attacking his weaknesses. Just in time for Tannehill’s possible retirement.
I'm a fan of Malik & Liberty. He went late in the draft because the pros look for the "passer" & not the "runner" & he had the tendency to run when under pressure. In one of his last college games against Army at Liberty (which game I attended (being a season ticket holder at West point), his running was shut down & Army won fairly easily. Malik has a strong arm (as evidenced by the pros quarterback try-outs) but he also has a tremendous attitude & is receptive to criticism. I wish he was a Jet or Giant !! I am commenting now as I just saw your site.
Good analysis 👍🏾... but tge simple stuff we say isn't as simple as we might make it... pass rush , reads, and coverages, just to name a few things. And im sure guys who played the game in the NFL could add another 10 plus things

Willis is a dude who needed two years at least to develop and people are freaking out he wasn’t ready year 2
Half of them are titans fans who were talking about how he needed to bake 6 months earlier.
That Vrabes is happy with his progress tells me a lot.
i was wondering if you’d do another malik vid, nice stuff

I wish the Steelers would try to get and wished they would have drafted him.
Music City Malik BayBay
Not as good as Kenny Pickett. I wonder where the no brain cavemen that said Malik should have been drafted second overall, let alone over Kenny.
He played like justin herbert
You’re on free base lmao
He led the NFL in INTs, Sacks, and fumbles this preseason. He’s erratic.
... so he didn't play in the preseason? man that's fucking crazy bro, these AI deepfakes are getting out of control
Nfl has taking in so many extra players deluding itself with an emphasis on training instead of letting other leagues do it.
