Remember grinding for the best horse in the game, so it dies at the end anyway, i cried for Arthur and my horse
This is why I use a PC trainer and turn on infinite horse health. Never wasting my time on a horse again.

Buel is the best imo as he has a very large tolerance to predators before he bucks u!
When doing the mission for Algernon me and buell had many arguments but I tried other horses and he didn't seem so bad but he was one of the worst to come back in a swamp full of gators cried real tears when he died at the end of Arthur's story
The chestnut arabian is probably my favorite, the red color really makes it look badass
It really is beautiful. I'm planning on using it on the Archaeology for begginers mission to take contrasting pictures of it along with Rains Fall's blue Nokota
The tiger striped mustang is pretty cool can be found near fort Mercer
I found the white Arabian but I also found another Arabian that was dark with white splotches almost like a cheetah and it was a male, exact same stats as the female but less skittish, found it in the mountains right above the Indian reservation.
That’s the warped brindle Arabian when I first found it it was a male too then when I came back later the day on the same save it was a female

I have that horse too..prefer it much more then the white ( or the black arabian), because it is idd a lot less skittish then the white one. The white one goes off over about anything. So annoying.
I always keep the Appaloosa horse you get when saving Tilly it can really be a solid horse if you take it to level 4 bonding
I could take a horse from the Murfree Brood during a random event. Their horses are full of burn marks and bruises. They have a very unique appearance. A bit like a zombie horse.
I would think that would go away after you brought it into a stable

@@mosomatein real life their wounds would heal over time. there would still be scars but the fur and stuff would grow back lol.
Playing as arthur right now and I saved a horse from them, took it too the stables, changed its mane and tail but it has the scars from them
My favourite horse in the game is the Bay Roan Ardennes- purely because I love large, thick horses and it’s great for dangerous situations, it never bucks Arthur/John off, even if wolves surround it. And also the fact that the neigh is deeper than other horse breeds really adds onto it.
My favorite is either the Tennessee Walker you get at the very start of the game or a wild blood bay Thoroughbred you can find in The Heartlands. It may not be the best horse but it was the first horse I remember taming, so now every time I replay the game I make sure to tame one and have it in my stables.

To me the best one is the english pure blood that appears with the black lady in those race encounters… super brave, good stats, and can end up having 10/10 of speed with a good saddle and 2 victories in the races + unique pelt
I got a random horse and i was not bonded with it but it didn't drop me when i was attacked by a couger idk why. I love him since and he is my buddy it has nothing special but he is mine😊

Buell is underrated
The best horse is the Tennessee Walker you get at the very beginning. He’s the only horse I use. I love him.
Black Turkoman from RDO is my favourite. So pity that it's not available in single player
This is off topic, but an improved arrow at close range ( around about 10 meters I think ) can go through the body of an NPC when aiming at it. Pretty cool 😎

You know you can win races against npcs including Dutch with any horse even the slowest one.
The red Arabian horse is a far better horse to use overall. Try it and you won't regret it
after you unlock the stables you can get a Andalusian at the east of brandywine drop in roanoke ridge
The bloodbay thorough bred is my favorite

I was hunting the legendary white bison when I found the arabian. Always my favorite horse now
My personal favorites are reverse dapple black thoroughbred and the turkoman shown. I got the dapple black from cheats, and used the cheat save glitch to keep the horse and the money I got as well. Pretty sweet.
My favourite is the Dutch Warmblood, had mine for most of of my first playthrough and she was a 10/10 horse. Never once threw me
The MFT is Boss and easily the most beautiful horse in the game! Turkoman is damn good too and also don't forget about Buell.
I love the murfee brood steed for their appearance, but i love the white arabian for its appearance as well!
The stats on both horses are good too, i also love the thoroughbred!
For me … Buell and the same Dutch Warmblood in Seal Brown, beautiful horse !
Another favorite is the Mustang; Tiger Striped, (Mexico only)
My faves are American paint (darker spot variant), Brindle throughoutbred, the Black Shire, the Leopard Appaloosa, and the Silver Mustang
American Paint, maybe not the fastest but it never bucks me off and the agility is amazing.

In my personal opinion, I think Arthur prefers horses that have good temperament, brave and resilient as I’ve never seen him give a fuss about speed or agility of the horses. However whenever he gets bucked or his horse gets agitated or uncontrollable, he actively complains. I also feel Arthur doesn’t give much care about coats and beauty of the horse either. With that being said the horses that I think that would suit Arthur the best are:
-Mustang(Preferably Tiger Stripped Bay)
-Ardennes
-Shire(Preferably Raven Black)
-Dutch Warmblood(Buell or Chocolate Roan)
foxtrott is also It can be found in the stable on the top left of Rhodes while playing with John.
White female shire is the best horse. Shire is gigantic, faster, and aggressive than any other horse species introduced in rdr2.

I like the rose grey Arabian for it's speed but you can only get it in the epilogue cause it's in blackwater's stables
I adore my brindle coat Thoroughbred Zorro. He's like a thick zebra and maxed out in speed... But i miss the stats of my sdp Missouri Fox Trotter
I played RDR1 first before RDR2 and i was in shock for days after the first time my horse got killed by a cougar
I love the Warped Brindle near Wakapiti or whatever it is

Buell is probably the best horse. Not only is he absolutely gorgeous, but he has pretty decent stats. And let's not forget how you obtain him. 😢
Got the horse from hosea and used it most of the game, i was planing to switch to something else but as soon as i got to robbing saint dennis bank i used him to the end. Couldnt bring myself to just leave the only memory of hosea
I honestly think buell, Cerberus (turkomen in chapter 3) and the black shire are my top 3

Buell is the most beautiful horse in the game. The Arabian looks like a rabbit when put besides him.
I actually played through the entire Arthur story with a chestnut shire. I really enjoyed riding it.... But, the Foxtrotter is still my absolute favorite horse breed.

I rarely get bucked by my horses idk how everyone else is so easily bucked. Like i played the white arabian alot and it only bucked me off when the murfrees would throw a burning wagon in the path or the lemoyne taiders blew up the road.

I found a racing horse with a brindle coat that makes it look like a zebra. It was at the stables outside of Strawberry during chapter 3
The nokota in the saint denis stable is also a good choice

Nah bruh. The marbled arabian up near wapiti is the most beautiful, followed closely by the silver dapple pinto. The white arabian is just the earliest top tier horse you can get without spending upwards of half a thou.

I buyed the most expensive horse on the stable and bond with it till max when he died after grinding like a madman for like 10 hrs to get the money and to bond with the horse i was so passed off that i have decided to never finish that game 😂

Arabian horses largely were bred for their endurance and athleticism, even in harsh conditions. Their compact bodies give them both balance and strength. And because of this, Arabians excel in almost every horse sport.
in game they get scared of literally nothing sometimes. i had to literally spam the L3 button the entire way down from Lake Isabella to The Valentine stables. wasn't a single enemy that appeared on the radar or any animal.
#5-Buell, my love him for the mission, R.I.P., but isn’t that good.
#4-The Mustang-This was my first rare horse and I loved it so much but I did set it free for Buell.
#3-The brown Arabian-Arabians are top 3, but this one’s boring
#2-Black Arabian, this one is amazing, I love it an unbelievable amount. I wish you didn’t have to buy it.
#1-(drumroll)…The White Arabian, by far, the best horse was my second rare and favorite rare, I always use this even in plains. Reliable, fast, high stamina, controllable handling, it just trumps the other horses.
I don't really care about the stats, the size and coat colour are what matterthe most to me. Here's my list:
1. Blood bay / reverse dapple black thoroughbred
2. Seal brown dutch warmblood
3. Flaxen chestnut hungarian halfbred
These horses are large size but not too large like ardennes or shire.
There's 3 wild Arabians you can get. The white arabian, the red arabian near strawberry, and the warped brindle arabian near wapiti

There is no such thing as different bravery statistics for horses in the game, it all depends on the bonding level. A level 1 bonding shire will buck you off a lot more than a level 4 arabian, its kinda weird but it is what it is lol

My last play through I was amazed when I came upon it early in the game and managed to break it to keep.
it's called red chestnut not dark red. but yeah, i found it near Lake Owanji. it's near the edge of the map usually on the hill but it's a pain in the ass to go up because arthur has a seizure whenever he goes up it and just slips and falls

😒For some reason, my white Arabian next to the lake wouldn't sell for more than 200$.(with the horse @ lvl4).
Don’t buy Andalusian, get superior Perlino Andalusian for free by taming it near Brandywine drop waterfall, north of Annesburg.
U forgot to mention Buel.... one of the finest horses..... like its the only dutch warmblood horse with the best stats through out the entire game

I use American cities or states ... Alaska for the white Arab. Nashville,Texas,Cincinnati,Georgia all good and there are endless options for names
