Our drift E36 gets it's engine pulled and torn down for some repairs, time to get this thing dialed in so we can start hitting local San Diego Events!

Wouldn't you have to deck the head anyway to use a traditional headgasket after the cut ring headgasket? I'm just thinking if you didn't send the head in what would do?

traditionally yes you would, the options were leave the head on or remove, machine and replace.

I’ve read, those cut rings are reuseable if not deformed, that’s why you can buy the gaskets separately without the rings.
