The REAL original Crown Victoria. Nice to see a fresh '79, with the sound of the raw Windsor V8 the old Vics are known for (though this is a Canadian one).
@@1983jblack Well, I have an eye disease called retinitis pigmentosa. It looks black to me, but I believe you when you say that it's dark blue. I just wish my driving and motorcycle riding days haven't been over for so long. Hopefully the technology gets good enough this year to do something about it. But they say that every year at Wills Eye Hospital which I been going to for almost 20 years now.
How much do these weigh? I’ve been trying to find out, and I keep seeing it’s only 3,600 lbs. which is unbelievable to me. A 2010 Crown Vic Police Interceptor weighs like 4,100. So that doesn’t make sense.
No that’s right. Even a late 80s LTD Crown Victoria is only around 3,700lbs. It’s probably all the airbags and other safety stuff that make the 2010 heavier. Interceptor’s probably even heavier.
My dad used to have a car like that and when he got Alzheimer's my mother sold it, my entire 24 years old were on that car, miss the motor sound and everything.
@@evajusteva I'd suggest buying one within the next few years, because they're only going up in value. Right now, you can still get one for $500-$1,000 in running, driving condition. Who's to say what they'll be in ten years or so.
The 351 Windsor is a big 302. Just like the Chevy 305=350 And, the Chrysler 318=360. This was done for fuel economy. I have an '83 Lincoln Mark VI. It has that 302 with fuel injection. Plenty of power. I like the Windsor V8's. They are awesome engines!
@MrCrijns Your car is awesome! I like how it says FORD on the trunk. The blue oval is better suited to a Taurus. This was a great downsizing effort by Ford. The 1973-78 was no longer practical. I loved them, but, I also love the panther body cars. They were excellent quality cars. That's probably an FMX transmission. The powertrains in these were always very good and reliable. They had a 255 V8 as a base engine. I think '80 to 1982. They weren't speed demons, but that's not why you buy a Ford LTD. They are reliable cruisers.
Wow what a classic inside and out.valu is increasingly. Underappreciated back in the Day.
Yes sir so true. They’re not cheap anymore
My dad had a 1978 LTD...last of the big Fords.

Dutch it’s in Amsterdam right now
@@MrCrijns It might be fun to drive a Vic in a country where even dogs have bicycles. Haha Cheers!
Один из лучших дизайнов "Форда" той поры.
Nice example. All cars look good in black when it's clean and shiny.
Yeah, but this car is dark blue not black

Thunder Ranch
Nice! Take care of it. There aren’t many ‘79 LTDs left.
mine used to sound like that, all it needed was a y pipe luckily. These cars last for a long time, simple and reliable
あーカッケェ…角張ったセダンが1番かっこいいし、好き

They were built to take a beating.
Damn that's clean.

I fucking love those body styles!! it is a damn shame the engines were shit in tthem.

Did anyone else notice the car is running in neutral? Not in park? I wonder why?

I just love how the steering wheel matched the seat color. NOW, everything is black. Ugly graphite black. No contrast at all 😢
Does this 1979 Ford LTD come with a chime or a buzzer?
Jac2Mac buzzer
Jac2Mac ask jessy pinkman. The buzzer buzz

@@MrCrijns I'd love to but fuel here is expensive and that car is a drinker haha
I have one, and it's surprisingly good on gas. Upwards of 20mpg the way I drive it.

@@MrCrijns sad news😣
For s. I wanna seal if ok
Holland kan best mooi zijn 😄
Ford didn't even try with the rear lights 🤣 and it should have a 351 that 302 is garbage lol
I disagree.
Garbage ? It’s 2021 and still running. A Audi from 2008 is already in the junk yard broken and fucked up lol
