I don't think it's jealousy. It's more like fear & shame of not being able to live up to expectations. The only way the feel they can catch up is to and pull Nigerians back. They will rather pull you down to their level rather than aspire to go up. Unfortunately, the Nigerian mentality is tough. An average Nigerian only looks up, not down. If you pull the ladder under Nigerians, they will raise another one. If you block the road, they will find another route. The only way to go is up, till death do us part.

Ajim, you’re always leading Nigerian people astray. Afrobeats is dying in the US because of Nigerian destructive monopoly of the music platforms. People in the west are always looking for new songs but with Nigerian streaming only pulling Nigerian songs, people in the West are bored with Nigerian only Afrobeats songs. I used to hear many Afrobeats last year but it’s gone down this year.
