This is the adhd brown noise sound that went viral on tiktok because it was able to help people with adhd get focus & sleep. This 12 hour brown noise is a useful sound masking tool, that can block out external sounds and distractions and be used in many different ways, especially for adhd. Compared to white and pink noise, brown noise uses mostly lower frequencies and is considered the most soothing to listen to of the three.
It is the natural sound generated out of the cabin of an airplane.
This track contains pure smoothed brown noise without any additional brainwave entrainment tones/beats.
Use it to:
Help you relax, fall asleep or focus
Block out distracting noise while you're studying
Calm babies and help them get off to sleep
Can help to calm and settle nervous and distressed dogs
Provide relief for tinnitus

It feels like I've been standing for 26 years and I sat down for the first time.
You worded it exactly right. I almost wanted to cry from relief
@@bethhollingsworthliterally there was no relief for me, my adhd is fucking horrible and everyone hyped up brown noise and it makes no difference

I applaud the passengers and whole flight crew who remained silent for 12 hours straight, so we can enjoy our peace
I think it was a short take, 1-2 hours and maybe with no/few passengers, then made longer and cleared of disturbances by edition.

This noise is much nicer than white noise. I find white noise too high pitch and it's irritating
Brown noise as a warmth, depth or coziness about it, I like it. It's smooth and dense
I’m the opposite. I like white noise. I guess it’s not one Sz fits all. Hope u sleep we ll. Here’s praying we ALL do!
yeah. brown/black noise all the way. white noise is too high pitched and insufferable
@@sheilasweeney1479have you listened to pink noise? I think u might like it for its higher frequency 😊
I agree completely. I find the high frequency range of white noise irritating, harsh and grating to my nerves, but the deep, low frequencies of brown noise soothing and comforting, mind quieting. To me, it seems to be in a similar range as thunder, which I love. A gentle forest rain with rumbling thunder is my favorite sleep sound. Sometimes I add in a babbling stream/ creek as well. 🤎
That’s a great description!
This is insane! My brain actually just. Shut up. It was incredible! I've never felt like that before i kinda wanna cry 😭❤

You are normal. ADHD is as normal as lefthandedness. Uncommon, but absolutely normal. You are not disabled just differently abled, which every single individual is.
@@Gasta1983 literally these kinda comments misleaded tf outta me made it sound like I’m supposed to reach nirvana and have complete inner peace after 5 seconds when all it did was calm my brain down and allow me to think a little more coherently on a single thought

This is weird. I put it on whilst walking my dog. Thought it was a bit silly but kept it on. After a while, it turned off without warning, and the world suddenly sounded and felt harsh and oppressive. Such a disconcerting feeling that I don't recall experiencing before in my life.
I'm hooked.
I have ADHD and this is the only one that I like. 👍 is earned.

I cannot tell you how much your channel has helped me since I found it 2 weeks ago. I am 49 years old and always suspected that I had ADD but until I found this channel I honestly had zero idea that so many of the things I suffer from were due to ADD. I always just felt like some weirdo that didn't fit in anywhere.
You are not alone 😊
What do you mean .. what behaviour or things you do .. I mean I had a ex nurse pull me out of a.meeting just to tell me I probs had ADHD at the age of 40 lol ...Im.not sure what I was doing I mean I sat quiet
After having horrible insomnia for months I slept 10 and a half hours straight through this whole video 😭 thank you so much ❤
My hubs has some mental health issues, made him plug in & he says it helps.. He has tried 432Hz & white noise but prefers this. I have noticed he is always more relaxed on flights when we go on holiday but assumed it was because he was more relaxed thinking about the next two weeks! Now we know. Thank you so much.
If every flight was that quiet ❤❤❤
Exactly!
I have Brown/Red noise as a tinnitus masker on my hearing aids, and it's amazing how much it's helping to calm my frazzled ADHD brain after a lifetime of muffled everyday life & massive Sensory overwhelm issues in the last couple of years! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
@patrickboyle6727 i mean its not hard to find out
@patrickboyle6727 do a Google search. Some symptoms or signs would be racing thoughts, trying to organize and analyze constantly in your mind. Getting distracted easily, starting one job but get bored quickly then start another job.. I have trouble sleeping as my mind tries to solve all the problems of the world. Feeling over stimulated (annoyed) at too many sounds all at once
Ive been using brown noise for a few years now for adhd. Its almost like taking a pill it works so amazingly.
why not white noise, I read it helps adhd kids
I’ve never understood why people find ‘white noise’ so amazing. I’m 50 and only recently, after a few people suggested I might be ADHD, looked into the symptoms and realised how much of my life ticks all the boxes. Even UA-cam’s algorithm started suggesting ADHD content, which is what lead me to this video.
Now I finally understand why I sleep so well in the months when we need a fan going at night. I’d never even heard of Brown noise, but OMG is it soothing! Thank you! ❤
I was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 56. Suddenly the never-ending failures and consternations which are my eistence was made comprehensible. Finally I could do something about the chaos that masqueraded as my life. I'm still learning. But I am learning. I am now learning life skills that I should have picked up before the age of 10, buut could not. You won't believe how ignorant I was of all the things I do that drive other people up the wall.
Just saying.
@@one-seventhI got diagnosed at 50. Medication would have helped so much as a kid. As an adult I am obsessed with learning. Fixated really. Probably on the spectrum too. Imagine what I could have accomplished with my education if I had help as a kid. Instead of severely struggling and barely skating by. Please share any and all of the skills you have learned
My body had a visceral reaction to this. All my muscles relaxed in seconds and I didn’t realize I was this tense. Hopefully I get some good sleep.
how did you sleep ?

I've pushed some chairs together. Just to get that whole sensory flight experience! Well that one flight where I had three seats to myself!
Thank you for this! At age 56, I took my first flight THIS YEAR. I enjoyed the flight so much I thought, I should record this for the relaxing noise. I wore my earplugs because I am sensitive to noises but I felt so peaceful and content during the flight and it was because of the cabin noise. It was a little too much for me without my earplugs so this is a very nice level of that cabin noise 😊
Congratulations 👏👏🎉 I hope you can travel more often soon.
This audio made me fall asleep so quickly and through the whole night for the first time in months. My brain felt so light!
Same here...slept without any aids(meds) and like a child... unbelievable effects!😅

Holy crap I thought it was just that I didn’t like reading. SAME
Oooh
Now I realise that too I read a lot while flying
Wow. I always thought it was because no internet distractions but maybe this has something to do with it as well!
❤ This is the best and most calming background noise because it has no scratchiness. Been listening almost daily to sleep and ease my tinnitus.
Its like a soul massage.
Everything's going to be okay. 🙂
Yes
But everything is not going to be ok ….I was thinking that the plane was going to crash into an orphanage
❤I love that.❤
no it's not the heat death of the universe is coming and no one has figured out how to stop it
This would have a billion likes if we could click like every time we listened 😆
It feels like a heavy load of fog and cloud is removed from my head. What a sense of relief. I hope it stays with me.
I am ADHD/autistic and the reason why this calms me down is because it sounds like the electric heater coming from the vents in my home
I would turn the heat up so I could use the noise to relax and shut down. A bit wasteful but medically necessary....lol.
my partner tried this the first time last night, jeepers! he did NOT TWITCH even once all night! he was sceptical at first, but since his diagnosis of adhd ,he is looking for alternative methods to relieve the mind chatter....and THIS ONE truly helped!
thanks❤
For the millionth night in a row I couldn't sleep. Finally gave up and was searching for "sounds to help AuDHD sleep", and got brought here... Suddenly it makes sense why I love flying so much! Goodnight, Good day, or good morning wherever you are reading this. :)
It’s like it’s shushing 🤫 my brain and giving me a sense of calm
haha nice description
same, my brain tries to fight back but its been forced to sit down
My son is 9 and I think he has adhd, like I probably have. I put the phones on his head for homework. He is so calm and concentrated, it is so reliefing ❤
This sounds like how a cool breeze on a hot day feels. Refreshing and relaxing.
That's funny cause to me it sounds like my small fan heater. Very cozy
My face is relaxing. Odd. I never knew it was tense. But seriously, the muscles in my jaw dropped and, wow. Beyond words!🎉
Mine too😮 I instantly started breathing more deeply and massaging my jaw hinge
This is the only sound I use to fall asleep now. I work the morning shift so I have to be up at 5:30am. No matter how stressed or anxious I am or how busy my mind is, I put on this sound and the next thing I know I’m waking up ready for my day ❤
Omg, my reaction was practically instantaneous. Incredibly relaxing. Does it have this effect on everyone??
It did me. Remarkable.
No. Every brain is different. But it sure is calming, soothing, relaxing and mind-quieting to me! 🤎👂🧠😌
This actually really calms me down when I need to sleep at night helps me switch off I've struggled so much since I was a kid and now as I'm older I'm starting to find new ways of coping with adhd with certain things 👍
Using colour to organise your thoughts works brilliantly for ADHD, I found. For example, in stead of saying "I have to work on a file," say "I have to work on the blue file," or whichever colour you choose. It also helps if you imagine the pages inside the file also being blue then, or whichever colour you choose. Intead of saying, "I have to read and reply to an email," say "I have to read and respond to the yellow email... Jesus showed me this revelation and it changed my life with ADHD! I almost feel cured. Yay! I give Jesus all the glory for this new blessing in my life.
❤
Wow ALL GLORY TO GOD!!!! and God bless you and keep you dear friend ❤❤❤
Aw❤️That's sweet❤️
I think this is similar to why it helps me to do laundry by color. Instead of "laundry" being one big, sometimes overwhelming, never-ending task, I can break it down into smaller, more manageable pieces or mini tasks and feel more of that precious dopamine reward and sense of accomplishment when I can say, "There, now all the blue laundry is done."
There's also a more motivating, clearer path, more organized plan to follow toward the goal: "Tomorrow, I will do the red laundry." You can even assign different colors to different days.
I traveled a LOT when I was younger, even as a little kid. And this sound was instantly calming to me. I think it brings back memories of flying coz I always loved being in a plane. That and I have pretty severe ADHD.
Incredible how this has helped me stay focused at work. I'm dealing with a lot in my personal life, and it was impacting my work. This audio truly quiets my mind, it's incredible.
It's interesting that it's called Brown noise. I'd say it's blue noise...because blue represents creativity to me 💙💙💙💙💙
When im on th plan is literally the only time i feel spiritual peace. I could be tired, sore, sleep deprived wnd cranky, but none of it takes away that perfrct zen
I love brown noise much much more than white noise. Always feel super comfortable under noise of planes and high speed train
I was audibly overstimulated today, to the extent that my skin began to crawl. Everything stopped within minutes of starting to listen to this. Thank you!
I've been playing this low under a chll-lofi mix - essentially blending the two sounds - and it really helps, especially when I am super overwhelmed.
I do this alot. When others hear it, they don't know why it sounds so good or why they are suddenly so calm, lol. People like us are rare
Side note- I also play rain sounds and ocean sounds very low under my music. Try it. Epic experience and sensation. The people around you who may hear it, won't know what hit them
How can hou play 2 sy once??
@@grabbelton I open two windows on my laptop with UA-cam playing in both. I can’t do it on my phone.

I pass out on planes even before they take off. As soon as the motor starts. Has me thinking too!
I recently slept 7 hours on an international flight. It must have been the brown noise because usually I only sleep 4-5 hours total in a night.

The most chill sound. I was sitting here this morning tired as usual and realised ten minutes in how much better I felt. Still kinda tired, but less and my mind’s clearer.
My goodness - this works and explains a lot in me (over years.). I was naturally drawn to these noises for years to get me to sleep. A friend suggested why and It makes sense.
I can't believe how well this soothes my mind. Is this how a normal brain is supposed to feel? Thank you so much!!
Terrifying thing is I clicked this video last night and my mind instantly cleared. Best bit I only realised now... after falling asleep in like less than 5 mins after starting to listen I just completely switched off... Magic this is...
Discovered this video a month ago, been using it everyday since, for everything focus and sleep related. It has helped me so much. I have adhd, autism and anxiety and depression. This has helped those annoying/unwanted thoughs at the end of the night or during homework sessions, thank you soo much
So happy to hear that it helps you!
No wonder airplanes make me so sleepy and calm. 🙌🏽
It's also the lack of oxygen.

Best noise ever. Maybe this is why I love flying 🤣
I want to watch UA-cam but I can’t shut this off 🤣
The white noise is like nails on a chalk board to me and the pink is close to it at well. This brown noise is calming!! Love it!!
I will now have this on every day as I am working so I can stay focused
wow this actually helps a lot. how is this possible? i can sleep, i can work, i'm actually calm!
When I wake from a snooze on a plane, the brown background noise seems to suddenly get louder. Just learned that muscles around the eardrum can relax during sleep, with the effect of “gain control”
Everything just stopped, I haven’t felt a calmness like this since when I had to work on helis before their takeoffs in the marine corps, those loud sounds of the engines were through the ear protection was the most soothing thing in the world
Wow, this actually clears my head fog.
I usually fly in average of once every two months. Most of the time I’m out within 10 minutes of taking off so thankful for this video using it to fall asleep right now.
This quiets my brain and helps me have a more restful sleep. I had never before considered 🤔 using brown noise to focus on a task until I saw some of the comments. I shall try that today.
Ahhhh yes Brown noise......the best, and very close to Earth Frequency Hum too 😊
the other day I used this noise to focus on my dissertation research..even before knowing that it helps for adhd..it works
No wonder I’m truly a narcoleptic on airplanes. This is so eye opening (no pun intended). As soon as the airplane takes off, I’m asleep.
I'm becoming somewhat of a brown noise connoisseur. I keep coming back and coming back to this one. It's got a tiny little green in it, but very little white. Its loudness and its impedance are just perfect for me. I think this is my favourite for studying-with-ADHD.
I feel like it has too much green personally
what a brown noiser!
I the the perfect brown noise for yooou!
Not enough black noise
Needs more indigenous noise, but whatever.
Amazing, this actually works for me. It could be just out of my head, but I tried other brown noises, and it has to be this exact one.
My mind isn’t racing as much. Listening to this sound, without headphones even on, has instantly shut up my overlapping thoughts. How?!?!
Sounds like when you put a sea shell up to your ear and you can hear the ocean
that's actually not the ocean you're hearing, you're hearing your blood flow through your body :P
@@Legendary_StarlightI mean...of course it's not actually the ocean. I think OP knows that.

Wow, 3 hours just have run unnoticed... and i've just finished 2 tasks that i needed to do 3 weeks ago... yet i took some alcohol to finish them, yet the brown noise brought this impact to another level. Thank you ADHDVision
I am adhd combined type. I used to hate noise or light when I was younger. Then when I moved from my busy city street out into the suburbs, the silence was painful. My babies started listening to white noise in infancy. I did notice that I had adjusted to it. Then recently I found green and brown noise. I eventually switched do brown. It’s so my more gentle on my sensory issues. I fall nearly right to sleep. I wish I would have discovered it sooner
It's too early to say if my focus has improved (I found this at 3am) but the release from anxiety and over thinking was instant and it made me so overcome with relief that I cried! It reminds me of the sound when you put your hands over your ears and can hear your own blood rushing around. Maybe thats why I cover my ears to relax or zone out...thought I was just weird!
Works so well ❤❤❤❤

Hearing this noise made me relax for the first time in years. I’ve never heard this before. The only thing was that buzz/beep sound that occurred every now and again.
Wow this is so interesting I always fall asleep before the planes even taken off. Brown noise. Who knew!
I have what I believe is Adhd but undiagnosed plus insomnia and falling asleep is almost impossible and I don't want to be taking medication to sleep ways I can sleep fall is first time cuddling my partner when we spent a week together or the lucky find of calm music it'll work but briefly but I think I found my new knock out sound, especially rn as I type my eyes are heavy and my heart isn't as crazy it usually does when trying to sleep thank you so much for the relief to feel relaxed

Been using noise to sleep ever since my son was born 11 years ago and we bought him a white noise machine. Mind blown. Used white noise for years, then I came across brown noise and never looked back. I have now graduated to a jbl party box with a decent amount of base so I can feel the brown noise when I sleep. My only minor concern is that if anything happens while sleeping like a child waking up, intruder, or fire, I won’t know as quickly.
Is this why I enjoy listening to the dryer run so much?
