Nowadays I'm thinking of buying one of them, desoldering and removing its eeprom, dumping it to computer and emulating on MAME. Is that cool idea? Did anybody do this before? I googled it but found nothing.
wow That is a great Idea mate. You know not many ppl know how to do that If you can do it I would be interested to see what happens to resolution of the games how it will turn out in a monitor, You should do it for sure
This device was very popular in post-soviet countries, because of it's price and accessability. I live in Poland and i remember everyone having one myself. For many of us this was the first time experiencing an electronic game. It became more common to have than gameboy. Battery lifetime was like a month or more
Hmm really depends which version of the brick you buy, the older versions there is no way but I think some newer models have open nodes on circuitry so that you can modify them
yeah actually it is but it has a very weird connection method. I might have edited that piece out of video I'm not sure but overall it is a very cheap set up
@Ayman Hanson Wow man Thank you so much Since I destroyed mine in the making of this I was not able to give him an answer, I really appriciate your efforts. Stay safe and once again I am grateful respect
The console is HUGE wich sometimes can be unhandy for on the go gaming. And the electronics inside are small!? Al that space for nothing?! We could make a more portable version of it why not do that?!
Tnx for letting me know, when you have limited copy righted free music available, you dont have that much choice! I will try on my next videos to not put too annoying of music =)
Tbh, it was quite creative. Tiger electronics and orher lcd games tried to be more complicated than they could, making character art to simulate graphics and porting console games like street fighter, wich barely worked. Drawing a square grid to simulate pixels was pretty smart, it could emulate tetris perfectly, not to mention it was versatile enough to add more games . Granted, they were very simple games and the screen was a bit too small for some, but it felt closer to an actual console.
This is weird, at the same time there has been many manufacturers of the same device. Let me know how it goes if you ever get to open the gutts and do some modifications

Please let us know if you are able to isolate the software! A true rom of the brick game would be awesome!
@@beronicamelchor2963 I am also interested in this as well, if anyone outdoor is willing to take some time and get this done it would be very cool
@JulekPL let me know how it goes I am very interested
I got to this video by thinking the same!

oh yes This item is very Nostalgic for me . Tgis was my first electronic toy ever Nearly 27 years ago when I was 10 years old
It's pretty insane how many games they could make with those large pixels
Oh yes still pretty amazing to this date
This is nostalgic because i open this when I was Child.
Nice I guess you can say that I am still a child 😁🙏
Back then 20 years ago, they were using board circuits for buttons, not some flat cable
I am sure mine was not an early generation model. You are 100% right 👌
This is my first ever introduction to hand held console, brings back my nostalgic memory back!
Im glad you liked it. This unit blew my mind when I was a child and now my own kid laughs at me when I show him that this was our gaming console =)
Wow it gives me some idea to this disassembly guide. I would like to mod this with rpi zero
With a twist. 😏😏
wow Okay I would like to see it if you make this happen, Specially the twist!
Amo esse console! Obrigado pelo vídeo!
🤗😊😊🙏🙏🙏🙏merci
Can the display be used on an arduino?
Hmm really depends which version of the brick you buy, the older versions there is no way but I think some newer models have open nodes on circuitry so that you can modify them
wow that part when you open the machine ! so cool :)

I have no clue, I am sure someone here can answer your question, just a matter of time ;)
@@LifeOfNino is true
So the display isn’t attached to anything?!!
How it works then?
yeah actually it is but it has a very weird connection method. I might have edited that piece out of video I'm not sure but overall it is a very cheap set up

Yes I agree with all of it 100% but back in the day people were not really interested in small footprint items. =)
