Thanks for the tutorial. I used the PDF. Unfortunately, it is difficult to copy from PDF to Mathematica. When you "Copy With Formatting" from PDF, the brackets copy correctly. However, many of the other special characters do not copy correctly. I had to correct all of the statements. It would have been better to have the notebook, *.nb, available for download instead of the PDF. I searched several times for the notebook but could not find it. Finally, in the PDF, it says at the beginning: "These notes formed the basis for both a single 6-hour one-day lecture and a series of four 90-minute lectures..." I would have liked to have seen the entire 6 hour lecture. The 3 parts here on UA-cam only total 2.5 hours. So I only saw less than half.
the 3 part series here is identical in content to the 6 hour lecture, missing only the lunch break and the time taken to answer questions (also, i apparently paced around the room a lot when i spoke).
Thanks Professor, this series has been very helpful.
Thanks for these lectures--very good introduction.
Extremely concise explanation!

It was pleasant.
