Today's video is a big one! I build the girder beams from triple-laminated 2x8s, frame the floor joists and rim joists from 2x8s, and attach the subfloor of my new 20 x 32 workshop. Let's go!

I'm so happy to see you teaching your boys the fundamentals of carpentry, but most of all having the patience in allowing your boys the time, coordination, and for them to build confidence; no substitute for hands on experience. I see so many times that parents get anxiously and impatient, and simply take over, and their child never learns by doing; and most tragicly the parent deny the memory of their interaction. "My Dad showed me how to do this", as He or She tells and shows their child how to.
Glad you let the boys help you. The time and patience you take will give them pride in helping you
